Thank you for this recipe, Mandee. These brownies look yummy and the recipe looks easy enough for a non-baker like myself to tackle successfully!  Rosie

Thank you, Rita, for sharing your storage places (love your French vitrine!).Living in CA, we do not have a basement; too dangerous with earthquakes, I've been told! I loved this challenge from Alma because it really made me see how DISorganized I have become! But I'm hooked on this hobby, so I will have to get inventive! Isn't it fun to see how others have hidden their treasures?   Rosie @ The Magic Hutch
This post is all about where I keep my tableware and accessories. For me, it's all about loving what I have and using what I love. However, selling vintage and antique items with two of my sisters in our local antique mall ce...

Wow!! Your finds are terrific!! I'm drooling over your cake stands, however. Just beautiful.   Rosie @ The Magic Hutch
Here's some eye candy for those of you who like to browse the internet and shop without guilt.  I did the buying over the last month or so, and you get to peruse my wares as I show and tell.  These items may or may not land i...

+Rosie M., thank you, and thanks for your visit.  Sounds like you may be like me - have a thing for cake stands?  They're so pretty and functional in so many ways, especially for tiering buffet service, which I do a lot of with family gatherings.

An inspirational post! We need to purge our garage and it is a daunting task! I appreciated what you said about not keeping old work things; appreciating what you've become. It has been hard to eliminate my old teaching files, but you've inspired me to pass them along or discard them because I am in a new phase of my life (retirement) and I don't need the THINGS that made me who I am, but I now am the sum of the experiences my career has given me.  Thank you for the advice. Now it's on to the garage!!  Rosie @ The Magic Hutch
Before I get started, let me just say this - it may not look like I've done a lot in your eyes, but I have spent over 70 hours working in my basement since the end of July, purging and reorganizing 'stuff'. Here's the link to...

An absolutely beautiful table! I love the brightness of all the colors and how well everything complements each other. You are very fortunate to have such a collection. Enjoy your treasures!!     Rosie @ The Magic Hutch
Today's tablescape post is directly related to the post I wrote earlier this week on The Historical WV Greenbrier - America's Resort.  It is a table set almost entirely with china and serving utensils collected either directl...

I love this table! It is happy and welcoming. Love your placemats and towels.  Rosie @ The Magic Hutch
For our everyday dishware, we are currently using Pfaltzgraff's 'Sandbar' from the Sand and Seas Collection. It compares to ironstone - hard-working, heavy and practical.  Until recently, I was never inspired to create a tabl...

Thank you for highlighting this very pretty china. Looking at it closely really  makes the details stand out. I don't have any pink dishes and you now have me thinking this pattern may be the one I'd like to start collecting! Thanks for sharing.  Rosie @ The Magic Hutch
Since my dining room is still out of commission because of a burst water pipe and probably will be for 2 or 3 months longer, I have decided to do a series of blog posts about my various china patterns. Today I just want to sh...

Mia's Table

Story
Introduction
I am a retired high school English teacher, married for 26 years, with a blended family of four married daughters and eight grandchildren. My interests include Choral Singing (I'm a member of a local college's Master Chorale), reading, and anything to do with plates and crystal. I was astounded when I first realized there were others who shared my love of china, and was thrilled to learn of the hobby of tablescaping. So, I revel in the adventure of blogging where I can link up to other tablescaping blogs and share the beauty of a creative table setting with others who share this sweet obsession!
