Tour Itinerary

Our English speaking guide will pick you up from Bangkok City area hotel at 8 am and depart to Ayutthaya Historical Park or Ayutthaya Ruins, the Ancient City as it is also known. This once glorious capital city, situated 80 km from Bangkok was destroyed by the Burmese army in 1767 and is now a UNESCO world heritage site. A large number of palaces, temples and chedis are still standing. In 1782 Bangkok became the capital of Thailand. The principal sights include the gigantic bronze statues of Vihara Phra Mongkhon Bophit, also Wat Phra Sri Sanphet and Wat Yai Chai Mang Khon.
We visit the scenic Wat Yai Chai Mang Khon and Temple of the Reclining Buddha (Wat Lokayasutharam). Wat Phra Sri Sanphet is the main temple complex left over from Ayuthaya’s golden age. We visit the ancient palace and Vihara Phra Mongkhon Bophit one of the largest bronze Buddha’s in Thailand.
At 12.30 we have a tasty Thai lunch (included). Afterwards we visit the resplendent Wat Mahathat, one of the most imposing ancient Buddhist monasteries. This temple is located on the bank of the Chao Praya River. King Prasatthong authorized the building with the architecture influenced by the Khmer style. It is one of Ayutthaya's most beautiful temples and a major tourist attraction.
Returning from Ayutthaya at approx 1430hrs, we go to Bang Pa-In Palace, the former royal summer retreat of the 17th century kings of Ayutthaya. We alight to walk the magnificent grounds of Bang Pa-In Summer Palace. Overlooking the waterways the many buildings are a curious mixture of early 20th century European styles that contrast with the Chinese and Thai pavilion. Not to be missed, very scenic, this present-day royal palace dates from the reign of King Chulalongkorn (1868-1910). Most of the buildings standing today were constructed between1872-1889.
After an enjoyable day we arrive back in Bangkok at 17.00

Your English Speaking Guide will meet you at your Bangkok City Area Hotel lobby at the 7:00 am and leave Bangkok for Ratchaburi Province. Arrive at a jetty pier to take a long-tailed boat ride for about 30 minutes to Damnoen Saduak Floating Market and pass through green plantation and Thai houses on both sides of the river and canals. At the floating market of Damnoen Saduak, you can witness an active daily life activity of local sellers and visitors, on numerous kinds of rowing boats. Carry on with the visit to Royal Thai Handicraft Center where you can see Thai artisans at work on carving precious teak woods into valuable masterpieces.
After lunch you will continue to The Sampran Riverside Thai Village. The villagers can be seen producing country handicrafts such as silks, pottery, dolls, Khon masks and lacquerware. A cultural show is performed daily. The hour long display includes martial arts such as Muay Thai boxing, a traditional Thai wedding ceremony, an ordination ceremony for entry to the monkhood, and regional dances. The tour terminates via a visit to the Jewellery Shop.
At approximately 7:00 pm, you'll arrive back at your hotel in Bangkok where the tour will end.

See the renowned Golden Buddha that stands at 10 feet (3m) high and weighs 5.5 ton. The image was built with pure gold with the fine art of Sukhothai period around 13th century. It was recorded as the world largest Buddha image made of gold by Guinness World Book of Record.
Continue further with a drive to Rattakosin Island passing through China Town and flower market. It is amazing to see a bustling, but colorful life style of the locals.
Upon arrival at Tha Tien pier, take an exhilarating boat ride across the Chao Phraya River to Wat Arun, known as the Temple of Dawn. With its magnificent 259 feet (79m) high pagoda-style monument, situated just beside the Chao Phraya River, Wat Arun serves as one of the most outstanding landmarks in Bangkok with spectacular view from the surrounding.
Cross back to the other side of the river, take a short stroll passing through the market and street to Wat Pho, well-known for its huge Reclining Buddha, measuring an impressive 150 feet (46m) long and 49 feet (15m) high. Founded in 1781 by King Rama I of Chakri Dynasty, Wat Pho was the first university of Thailand that taught wide range of knowledge ranging from astrology, literature and medicine. It is also a temple museum that contains many hard-to-be found artifacts and inscriptions.
Finally, it’s time to return. You will be dropped off at your Bangkok City hotel safely at approximately 2pm.

Following hotel pick up by your English speaking guide at 9:00 am from Bangkok City area hotel you first stop will be Pak Khlong Talat (Flower Market), a huge wholesale market for produce and flowers. You’ll visit the plentiful flower stalls on Maharat Road. The market is near the Memorial Bridge, where we will be able to see the busy scenes of the morning market.
Then relax on the Chao Phraya River and Thonburi canals in a comfortable long-tail motor boat. You will be treated to spectacular and colorful scenery of Thai life along the river banks. Local people still transport their wares by water, and you’ll see them doing so during this part of the tour. From the river we will be able to see the Grand Palace’s beautiful buildings and temples such as Wat Arun, The Temple of Dawn. You’ll also be able to view the Royal Thai Navy Dockyard and old Customs House.
Next we’ll take a stroll down the Royal Way, Ratchadumnoen Road for some city sightseeing. On this road you’ll be able to see many monuments, examples of Thai architecture and famous landmarks such as the Parliament Hall, Ananta Samakhom Palace and the Chitralada Palace.
At approximately 12:00 pm, you'll arrive back at your hotel in Bangkok City where the tour will end.

Following hotel pick up from Bangkok city area hotel by your guide at 7 pm you will visit places that most tourists only visit during the daytime including some of Bangkok's most famous temples, such as Temple of the Reclining Buddha (Wat Pho). You will walk through local Bangkok night markets including the 24-hour Flower market through Pak Khlong Talat (Flower Market), where the vivid colors come alive under the fluorescent lights, at a time when flowers are starting to get delivered. We will surprise you with places you may have never heard of.
Finally there is the food and at night time the streets are alive with food vendors. As we go we will stop to sample some of the best food in the city, whether it is random snacks along the way, some of the city’s best noodles, or a surprise dessert stop. You will not go hungry so no need to eat beforehand! After having Dinner at approximately 11 pm, you'll arrive back at your hotel in Bangkok City Area where the tour will end.
