Goodbye iTunes!  For the second time when doing a software update iTunes wiped out my entire library of songs I had downloaded from hundreds of CD's, gone, zip, nothing!  Apple really did it this time, there was no evidence on my computer anywhere, not in Program Files, no where, that iTunes had ever existed.  So, I reinstalled iTunes but now how do I get the music which is still on my iPod back into iTunes--with Apple, not happening.

Enter TransCopy, a $20 software (a free copy will allow you to download 100 songs) and goodbye iTunes!!!  Easy to use I was able to reload from my iPod all the hundreds of songs--I downloaded the contents of my iPod  to a Music file on my computer and backed that file up to my external hard drive--this isn't happening to me again Apple!!!

This morning I tried another TransCopy tool--I use OverDrive Media to download audiobooks for use while I am quilting.  I used TransCopy after I had downloaded the book using OverDrive Media to transfer that audiobook  to my iPod.  Success--I think I can successfully live without iTunes now!!

And I really don't think my next phone or tablet is going to be an Apple product.  I really, really resent their lack of ability to play nice and their refusal to own up to their issues!!  If you Google, "iTunes lost my CD music" there are thousands of hits so I'm not the only one this has happened to!

Seven days without internet--WOW!  We were boondocked near Blanding, Utah riding ATVs.  We did go into town a couple times and I was able to post blogs but it sure is nice to be back in the land of technology with 4GLTE, near Moab, Utah.  This photo is of Wilson Arch which can be seen from the road south of Moab.

More Google good news--poor RV park wi-fi is the reason we went with our own aircard.  It's the rare RV park which has decent wi-fi.  The park we stayed in while in Texas bragged on their website about their super fast wi-fi, "you can stream movies all day long."  Ya, right!!  Our aircard worked faster than their wi-fi.  But, ole Rick came to the rescue again when he wrote about getting cable internet--now, that's fast internet!!!
