Wish I had read the reviews before going to this place. When we got there at 6:30 pm for dinner, the place was almost empty (red flag #1). Got seated and waited for waitress so we could order drinks. After a few minutes, my husband got up and went to the bar to get our own drinks (red flag #2). Ordered the 12-shrimp appetizer. Didn't look anything like the menu. Skimpy shrimp and nothing special (rather expensive for what we got - red flag #3). The meals came and it was no surprise they were nothing great. I really thought the crab cakes would be filled with large pieces of crab...not even close. They were flat and resembled a burnt potato pancake. Very mushy and couldn't even discern any crabmeat in them. The only reason I ate them was because we were out with another couple and didn't want to make anyone else feel uncomfortable if I had to wait for another meal to come out. DEFINITELY SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO ANYPLACE ELSE BUT HERE!!! What a shame.

15 minutes before we got a server and 10 minutes before my nursing wife was given water. The GM hid in the kitchen once I complained to the host until we left. I came back because we forgot one of my son's toys and the GM and shift supervisor were both back on the floor flirting with servers, then they saw me and rushed back to the kitchen. Pathetic... I saw the servers on their phones and filling out 5 star customer survey cards. This location will fail and close. They cannot be meeting their P&L margins.

This past Mother's Day (2014) was a blast for my aunts, mother, and friends. We have made it a tradition to trip from Boston to Methuen, not just for the delicious food but for the atmosphere. From Ann recalling my name at the bar and hugging my grandmother to Jey bringing out garlic butter for us because he knew we loved our garlic. And Jose for making us feel especially welcomed by continuing to check in with us. You all are like extensions of the family and I'm glad I happened upon this awesome place.

Service was awful. Crabs weren't cooked and clam showder was a soup.

I am shocked to see good reviews on this awful place. I went there on a business lunch and ordered a clam chowder, a fried shrimp plate, and a side of cole slaw - all inedible.. The chowder was cold and watery. The shrimp had one predominant flavor - salt. It was as if they battered the shrimp in salt and fried it. The shrimp were also previously frozen and of poor quality. The fries were also salty, and the cole slaw just not good at all. Living in Massachusetts there are many great seafood places to choose from, this is not one of them. If I went to McDonald's and had a fish sandwich there it would have been light years better than the crap I was served. I think these fish chains survive because people living in landlocked states with bad frozen seafood think that this food is good. But fortunately, we know better. Don't waste your time or money or blood pressure.
