It looks like another Kmart is closing in the Cleveland area.

The Kmart at 7700 Brookpark Road in Brooklyn would close as of Oct. 12, 2014, according to a WARN letter filed with the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services dated July 8. About 200 employees will lose their jobs during a two-week period beginning Oct. 5, 2014.

A Cedar Point spokesman said the directive came straight from Matt Ouimet, the CEO of Cedar Fair Entertainment Co., which operates Cedar Point, Kings Island northeast of Cincinnati and other amusement parks across the country.

WTAM has fired veteran broadcaster Bob Frantz.
Frantz wrote on his Facebook page that 'the stated reason given was 'corporate restructuring,' which can be interpreted in whatever manner you wish.'

Shortly before noon, Terry Egger, chairman of the 2016 Cleveland Host Committee, gathered with other host committee leaders in Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson's office to hear the news that Cleveland had gotten the nod over Dallas to host the 2016 convention.
