Nice atmosphere, nice decor. Food not so nice for the money. Papardell with braised beef, the beef was good but the Papardell was horrible, sauce was on the sweet side. The Halibut was just so so but the Risotto was great. Desert took an extremely long time to arrive but was tasty. Waiter did the right for the late desert . We eat out alot but not coming back here...

Thanks Joe for helping us when we were in a jam to feed the cast & crew of XXistence TV Series. Everyone loved the Salads & Pasta. That was just what we needed to get everyone ready to do the next scene. Richard Kern Executive Producer XXistence.

Poor atmosphere. Went for a quiet dinner during the week. Had to listen to a table of three shout and laugh and disturb everyone in the restaurant, keep in mind there were 4 other tables that were quiet, so there was no need to be shouting to the person seated next to them. The staff did nothing except apologize to us, rather than to ask them to keep the vulgar language and noise down. They were taking shots and trying to convince the waitress to do one with them, which she politely refused. Their actions and choice to treat the restaurant like a night club, and the lack of response by the staff was dissatisfying. The food was mediocre at best. I did not feel well after eating it. The burrata tasted like cream cheese. They were out of certain appetizers. The pasta was undercooked. The chef couldn't properly prepare the dessert. I was told to order in advance, when I did the waitress came back after 20 minutes and told me it would be another 20 minutes because the souffle fell in on itself. Poor atmosphere, poor food, and as a whole not worth your time or money. The only thing that was average about this restaurant was the waitress was very personable. Other than that, I don't have anything good to say about it.

The atmosphere and service was great, aside from the fact that we were not served water, or asked how our main course was. I was very disappointed with the food. For an appetizer I ordered "Beer and Clams" unaware that the clams came raw. I dont exactly know where beer fits into the equation because the clam is served raw with a tiny scoop of sorbet, covered in what seemed to be Frank's Hot sauce..Need I go further? They took a chance at something new, for me it did not work whatsoever. For my main course I ordered the Branzino Filet, which came with 3 small pieces of Broccoli Rabe, and two very small potatoes halved into 4 pieces (as generic as can be). The filet was small but tasted pretty good. Finally for desert I had Vanilla Gelato which tasted good, not much can go wrong there. Because I paid the Long Island Restaurant Week price fixe cost of $27 I am not going to say the quality or amount of food I received was not worth the money, but I would probably never want to pay full menu prices which seemed to average at around $35/main course.

Thank you again for an amazing dining experience for Father's Day Brunch. If you dine at Porto Vivo you will be well taken care of and delight everyone of your guests. I started off with a beautiful calamari salad (calamari was not overdone and delicious!) followed by a fruity mango smoothie that soothes, my favorite entree had to be the sliced marinated skirt steak an array of cheese asparagus and topped salsa verde (amazing). Great decor and chic dining. My Fathers also received a special gift to top it all off. You guys are the best and I will be back for more. Thanks again!!! :)

Nice place but over priced food. I'd rather go to my corner Italian restaurant and get more and better food for the money.
