Absolutely incredible watching this, a real inspiration..THANK YOU !!!.... yesterday I started my long journey to running an ultra. 350 meters JOG , 350 meters walk repeated 5 times...it sounds stupid to even mention it, BUT, I have a plan in place, every other day I repeat this but add 100 meters to the JOG section, increasing the % of effort weekly from 50% effort in week one, to 55% effort in week two until I'm running consistently at 80% effort whilst keeping the walking section the same, I'll be essentially adding 500 meters onto my total distance with each run. doing this 4 times a week and you can do the maths.. I'll be increasing by 2Km each week. After 10 weeks I'll be running 20 Km, but at that point I wont be doing it 4 times a week, probably 3 and as the distance progresses I'll reduce the amount of times I do it and reduce the % effort to something that I can maintain comfortably for long distances (65% ??,)...we'll see , it's a plan and I'll try it and see how it goes.
