“Too Much, Too Much, Too Many,” written by Meghan Kennedy, is the story of a wife and daughter following the decline and death of their husband and father from Alzheimer’s disease. While described as bittersweet and poignant, the drama also offers a dose of humor – something that is important to maintain while dealing with the reality of dementia.

Following each performance, Jackie Raschke, certified dementia practitioner from Home Helpers Home Care, will answer questions about Alzheimer’s and dementia and offer information about the resources available to patients and families.

Grief isn’t always about death. Those who are aging or caring for an older adult are likely to experience many types of loss along the way – loss of driving privileges, loss of independence and loss of physical and mental abilities, to name a few. Big life changes, such as divorce or illness, also can bring about feelings of grief at any stage of life.

Director of Education Jackie Raschke of Home Helpers in Hinsdale will discuss means of coping with such feelings, as well as the feelings of guilt that often accompany the responsibilities of a caregiver.
This event is free and open to all. Reserve your seat at jackie@maryandmikecare.com or call (630) 686-1369.
