Barclays Center showcases the world’s most thrilling entertainment and sports events right in the heart of Brooklyn, New York. Developed by Brooklyn-based real estate developer Forest City Ratner Companies and designed by the award-winning architectural firms AECOMM and SHoP Architects, Barclays Center serves as the home of the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets and boasts one of the most intimate seating configurations ever designed for a modern multi-purpose arena. Approximately 18,000 seats with unparalleled sightlines are ready to welcome sports fans to the action and audiences of up to 19,000 can be accommodated for musical performances. Brooklyn’s own Jay-Z has sold out eight shows that launch Barclay Center’s inaugural season—already packed with world-class talent such as Barbra Streisand, Justin Bieber, Rihanna, the Who, Bob Dylan, John Legend, Neil Young, Andrea Bocelli, Journey, Rush, Leonard Cohen and Juan Luis Guerra and Juanes, among others. The arena’s 101 luxury suites, four bars/lounges, three clubs and the newest location of Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club & Restaurant by American Express all guarantee that an event at Barclays Center is destined to be a memorable one.

A fantastic, new arena for great venues including concerts, and of course, the Brooklyn Nets. Loved the fact that it has a subway station located right in front, allowing easy transportation and movement to the arena and from. Also love its proximity to the nearby mall. Security here is the main downside - they don't create reasonable lines to get people in, and upon bag check, they toss your precious items into your bag (if you have one) as if they aren't fragile. Despite the terrible attitudes from the security staff, the arena is pretty amazing. You get a great view of the main court/floor from the distance when walking in, and it's pretty cool to see the practice courts as well when walking into the venue. Very spacious as well. A few eating locations, not as much as I've seen in some other arenas, but quite a variety, but for a pretty penny. Definitely was nice to see the arena Jay-Z helped build.

I've been to Barclays Center for concerts, basketball games and awards shows. I'm amazed how the space can accommodate such a wide range of "acts" and I have yet to find a bad seat despite sitting all over the arena. If you're eating on-site, be prepared to drop big bucks, nothing seems to be under $10. Wifi is available but be sure to log-in properly or you'll be without service. Only con: security could use a personality adjustment.

Great food, great games, great location. Easily accessible by almost every NYC MTA train!!! There are many food options, not just the typical arena food. Lots of stores, not just memorabilia. The Nets games are always a lot of fun and I look forward to the day the Islanders play under the same roof!!!

Great place, and designed in a way that you can see everything, no matter where you are sitting. And for me to see King James in real life is something i have been waiting for it for a long time. The entering process went smoothly. We arrived like an hour before the game start, and we entered after 15 minutes, so we had plenty of time to look around, and the place is really beautiful.

The Nets have tried every gimmick ... except winning. They are always going to be second banana to the Knicks. They really should have changed their name back to the New York Nets when they moved to Brooklyn. That is what they were called when they had Dr. J and ruled the old ABA. The team has been cursed ever since they sold Dr. J to the Philadelphia 76ers. Brooklyn is terrific. But in an era when sports teams are marketed regionally why would one want to name themselves after a borough?

I like that it is new and so many food vendors but the seats for Knicks game are terrible. The seats are extremely small and uncomfortable. I been there 3 times and I been in different level settings. All seatings were terrible specially the 3rd level. Food was pretty diverted and reasonable except for drinks or water. Water is almost the cost of hotdog.

As a native Brooklynite, I have a lot of emotions regarding this stadium. However, the venue itself is not bad. I have seen concerts, basketball games, and hockey games and it has been a pleasant time everytime. The beers and food are a bit pricey but that is to be expected when attending an entertainment event.

WE RECENTLY WENT TO A GREAT CONCERT AT THE BARCLAYS. ALTHOUGH THE VENUE IS HUGE & THE SEATING ITSELF WAS NOT TERRIBLE, I HAVE ONE MAJOR COMPLAINT. SINCE WE GOT LAST MINUTE TICKETS WE SAT IN SECTION 210 ROW 13 CENTER. I HAVE SAT HIGH UP AT MANY VENUES BUT THS TIME IT WAS MUCH DIFFERENT. THE ROWS ARE VERY VERY VERY NARROW. WHEN SOMEONE IS SITTING DOWN, IT IS VERY HARD TO PASS. IT IS NOT ONLY HARD TO PASS BUT IT IS DANGEROUS!! I SERIOUSLY FELT LIKE I WAS WALKING ON A TIGHT ROPE. THERE WERE NO SUPPORT BARS. NOTHING. IT WAS SO BAD, I LITERALLY DID NOT GET OUT OF MY SEAT FOR 4 HOURS NOT EVEN TO USE THE BATHROOM. I WAS TO AFRAID. IF I HAD AN AISLE SEAT IT WOULD HAVE BEEN DIFFERENT. MY HUSBAND WHO IS IN THE CONSTRUCTION BUSINESS COULD NOT BELIEVE THEY PASSED INSPECTION WHEN THEY BUILT THE PLACE. I AM CONVINCED SOMEONE WILL FALL DOWN ONE DAY AND THE DEVELOPER/BUILDER SHOULD BE HELD LIABLE..IT IS A SHAME BECAUSE WE REALLY ENJOYED THE CONCERT BUT WOULD HAVE DEFINITELY ENJOYED IT MORE IF THE ROWS WERE NOT SO DANGEROUS! MY ADVICE TO YOU IS. IF YOU HAVE TO GET SEATS HIGHER UP AT THIS VENUE, GET AN AISLE SEAT OTHERWISE PAY THE EXTRA MONEY FOR LOWER SEATS.
