I think this rounds off the #fundraising I did in 2016 perfectly. Thanks so much to #Cancer #Research UK. I hope the money I (along with all my donators and fundraisers) raised makes a difference to people's lives.

It's been a tough week this past week with #pain meaning Sunday was a complete washout. Walking between bus stops over my #mobility limits on Saturday. Before I continue I would like to thank all those that have recently donated towards #Cancer Research UK after watching my #fundraising I did in July. It is greatly appreciated! I would also like to give a mention to a friend that had to say goodbye to his wife this past week as she lost her long battle with cancer, I'm thinking of you buddy! Today I had my consultation with my local chronic pain team. I came away with a lot of info, referral to gentle tai chi for #chronic pain (hence the picture) and possibly some adjustments to #medication I already take. It's a small step in the right direction and I know there is no miracle cure right now so I will welcome all the help that is out there too reduce my pain effects! #Charity donations... I am so close to my £500 target with my fundraising page shutting down before christmas 2016. So if anyone has any spare change you could possibly send to Cancer Research UK on my behalf, that would be great. A reminder of the donation page link: http://www.justgiving.com/formylostlovedones Not getting on well with a reduced appetite tonight... Guess I'll have to try and sort small yoghurt for pudding. My cold/flu is tailing off so I may be resuming fitness training next week. Hope you are all getting on as well as possible, more news soon 😊

#wearealldanielblake sometimes it can be so hard managing a #chronicillness plus dealing with the stress of getting welfare benefits we are entitled to. This is just to get by on life! I'm going through the complicated process now! Just wish it was easier and didn't take so long to sort out.

It's been a while hasn't it? Quite a lot has happened since my last posts. My life has been filled with getting over my inevitable cold that meant I wasn't allowed to do any fitness training. It took about 2-3 weeks to finally feel right again. This week was my first full week of training since I got well again. The familiar muscular aches and pains from pushing so hard. I have managed to lose weight which was one of my main goals. Unsure if my BMI will now say I'm not overweight. I wanted less of a belly which was making things harder on my back. I also aimed to get stronger and see if I could once again walk without a cane. Another target for 2017 is to get back on a bike and compete in at least one event (on borrowed machinery). It is something to work towards at least. I have had many days over the past few weeks where my body was just so tired that I had to rest and sitting up at a desk was the most uncomfortable thing to do. As expected I am arguing with the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) to get the benefit payments owed to me. Struggling day by day to get out of debt and work with my chronic illness the best way I can. Anyhow, I hope you are all well. I'm off into town to get some letters printed to send to DWP and my doctors. #chronicpain #chronicillness #fitness #exercise #nevergiveup

Another week over and it has been draining. Not enough sleep, too much sleep... Sometimes feel that I can't win against this battle with a #chronicillness. There are small wins which lift my spirits, like watching a TV programme that makes me laugh, lifting weights that I never thought I could and managing a day with only a lower level of #chronicpain. It is a lonely and isolating place but with slight glimmers of hope, I carry on... #nevergiveup

Good day out watching some #speedway today. I still can't move my arms too well from the #fitness training on Friday! Sold for too long as well today so I'm feeling a bit banged up and I wasn't even riding! Work tomorrow is going to be hard.

This is something that a #chronicillness makes you do. Being in #chronicpain and your body and mind telling you to isolate yourself as some kind of protection mechanism. I have been dealing with issues most of my life (20 years!). Tomorrow I get to let my mask drop for a little while. I get to watch my speedway friends compete at my local speedway track, Sittingbourne Speedway. The venue at which I did my #Cancer Research @cr_uk fundraising just over 2 months ago. Still looking for more donations this year, can you help? https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/formylostlovedones Regranned from @unisoultheory
