Cityscape photography by Stephanie Jung

The tensions of urban identity and cultural traditions of Japan are at the base of inspiration for German photographer Stephanie Jung in her latest exhibition of cityscape photographs.

She presents a collection of daily city views of the streets of Tokyo, Shibuya, Osaka and Nara. Jung takes into consideration urban city views characterized by time spent there and its slow passing as a starting point.

Images of everyday life in these Japanese cities are covered by vibrating textures of gradual shifts of perspective, intentional transparencies, and intense coloring.
