The Food: I normally take a photo of my meal before digging in. Unfortunately for Blue Planet the food was too good for me to remember protocol. I ordered the Ahi Tuna Salad and was delighted with the quality of the tuna and greens, it was really a top notch salad. Before that I shared the Humus with my lovely lady. While it wasn't the best Humus in town it was really good for a restaurant whose focus is not Middle Eastern cuisine. A little splash of Siracha and we felt pretty good about it. My lady ordered the Thai Rice Bowl sans protein and enjoyed her meal even though she isn't a huge cilantro fan and that was a pretty heavy seasoning. Still feeling a bit hungry I ordered the Kid's Meal Cheeseburgers with Edemame for a side. It was very good! Kid's Burgers are frequently little hockey pucks but these actually had moisture and the cheddar cheese was a good sharp cheddar and gave it good zip. The Edemame was good as well. Overall I recommend the food here and encourage you to try their Ahi Tuna dishes as well as a grown up burger which if the Kid's version is any indicator would be really tasty. Addressing some of the negative service reviews on this page: Service was fast and friendly. The cashier was really nice and recommended little add on's to my meal that made things more enjoyable. I understand that there isn't the usual banter that you get at a sit down restaurant, however I believe that this is because of the different concept that Blue Planet is after. This is good for you faster food. There is no way that they could serve this quality of food at Burger King speed because Burger King serves mass produced slop. But it isn't table service either. If you are the type of customer that frequently finds yourself frustrated by what you perceive to be poor customer service at every turn, you should walk into this restaurant knowing that this is not a place that will seat you, entertain you with a lovely quip about the weather, and then recommend you start with a Cuervorita and some Jalapeno Poppers. You're will get great fast food service, and even better quality fast food. Relax and enjoy it, more than likely you aren't the Queen of England and your head is not heavy with the weight of the crown. Quit acting like it is please! Thanks for reading my little diatribe and I want to reiterate that the food is great and the service is good for what it is. I hope this was helpful in helping you choose where to eat! ~A

If you are a health junkie, this is where you need to be. I can't stay away from fries, so their baked alternative is delightful. Especially the curry fries.

Tonight was the first time we tried Blue Planet. My (soon to be) wife had the Cobb Wrap with the sweet potato coins. I had the Caprisi pizza and both of us had fountain drinks. Total of the bill (including the new Omaha Mayor Tax) was $22.54. The food was prepared well and both of us noticed that the flavor was what stood out the most as compared to your typical fast food or even better sit down restaurants. The serving sizes were appropriate and the service was good. If you want quantity over quality then there are other places to go. If you love the good taste of a meal and like the idea that you are not in a coma after eating, then this will be the place. We will return.

Poor service, staff did not seem at all friendly. Mixed up the side that I ordered. When I brought it to the server's attention, he says "oh, they must have mixed it up" he then walked away and never attempted to fix my order. I did have a nice laugh over that one. Took half hour to make my burger that had an over salted beef patty, but it was hormone free, so I guess who cares how it Do yourself a favor and just go to Whole Foods Market. They have premade food that blows this stuff away (tasty and healthy), along with better service and no wait.

It's a bit pricey, but very good. Gluten free was a major plus

I guess I expected too much of this place. Since it's called "Blue planet natural grill", I figured there'd be plenty of vegetarian options...but there wasn't. The only veg options were "sides"...I've seen more options at a BBQ restaurant! The people working seemed annoyed that we came in AN HOUR BEFORE THEY CLOSED. The sides that we did order were fairly cold and barely seasoned. The menu was also hard to read (it's on a ridiculously bright flat screen and changes before you can finish reading it) and everything was a bit overpriced. I'll stick to Mcfoster's natural kind cafe....
