Stayed 2 nights. The 3rd evening my toddler daughter (20mo) vomited on the floor. Called the concierge desk, which told me "The maid had gong home for the day!". I initially thought she was being cheeky, as my mother use to say the same thing at times, in a sarcastic manner. I informed them it was in the middle of the living room. Adding that, I do not travel with carpet cleaning supplies? She said "It was not her problem". I said that that was not an acceptable answer, and that I would be finding other accommodation if that was the case!? She said she did not care, but added I'd be charged for the room anyways. I packed up and left. I attempted to make contact with the manager via email - MULTIPLE times. Roughly 3 weeks later she said she'd give me a discount on the one night. Currently disputing the charge with the credit card company. General appearance is "basic suite", much like an Econo Lodge. its a cheaply furnished room. OK PLACE TO STAY, IF YOU DON'T NEED ANY SERVICE. GOOD LUCK!!!

Rooms were nice for the area. Karrie at the front desk was very helpful.

First... Don't freak out at the price you see on the website. For some reason they show the cost of the entire stay instead of nightly prices like everybody else. This is a very nice extended stay type hotel at a competitive price. The other Faribault area hotels had very questionable reviews so I chose to stay at the GrandStay based on it's reviews and a local recommendation. I'm very glad that I did based on what I saw while scouting hotels & restaurants for use during a project in the area next year. This hotel is clean, quiet and feels very safe. The breakfast was surprisingly good with hot eggs & meat (alternating bacon & sausage while I was there), a number of cereal, bread and drinks. Not Cracker Barrel by any means but very good on the hotel breakfast scale. My room was a "suite" and I assume that all others are as well. There was a full sized frig, a small cook top, microwave, single cup coffee maker, dish washer(?), small sink, and small selection of dishes. I had very little interaction with the staff but it was all good. The only problem during my stay was that the internet crashed every few minutes. It was screaming fast when it worked but would stall completely every 4 or 5 minutes. I have a aircard in my laptop so it wasn't a big deal for me and forgot to report. Otherwise, it was a good stay.

I left an Ipad charger in my room. When Cindy called me back to inform me of this, she also said that they could send it back but I'd have to pay for shipping. To me this seems unfair to a customer who just dropped over a hundred bucks at their hotel for a room. When I suggested she cover the minimum cost, she rudely snapped at me "Well, is it my fault that you left it in your room?" That's not the point. The point is that if you want to maintain customer loyalty you do things like this. There are other places to stay in Faribault. Next time I will go there.
