In his book The Thought of the Heart and the Soul of the World, psychologist James Hillman writes: "The question of evil refers primarily to the anaesthetized heart, the heart that has no reaction to what it faces, thereby turning the variegated sensuous face of the world into monotony, sameness, oneness."
United States-based mystician Rob Brezny asks: "What would you have to do in order to triumph over this kind of evil in yourself?"
I would examine, and have, the great statements of profound minds of history, of philosophers, seers, guides and wise people...and every single time, without fail, that only the masculine predicator was used to talk about things, I would reverse it or neutralise it, and look at it again...and I would do so in anguish at the huge error that such was.
Wherever the species of people was called "Man": I would go back and change that, and look at things again.
And also, I would look at all the influence of said statement...what was stated where there was an unconscious implication that all the people were men and that female insight, or the insights of men and women in harmony was discounted as irrelevant?
"The town planner, if he has the imagination and the skill, can
help the citizens of the megalopolis to win their Spiritual battle.
He can help them in inspiring visible forms, with material symbols
of these invisible spiritual treasures."
he can't. not when he doesn't even know the meaning of the word "Material"!
and those who think that his ideas alone are all that are needed don't even
understand Mother Earth, or the source of Philosophy.
He can do NOTHING. and generations will rise and fall with such 'wisdom'
leaving out, in an unconscious and guilt-plagued misogyny, such a huge
area of possible problem solving insight. a core error is made, a key and tragic
flaw in thinking that leaves the would-be urban planning savior doomed to be
sabotaged by a misogyny that he can not see...
...a cognitive gap that wastes his effort, because of the gross egotism of attempting
to accomplish anything without a necessary She, or an Us that would have been inclusive and acknowledging the Shes and Hers of the world...
...this sadness comes to us from an age from which there are no survivors (save memory and art) -- and that has created an arrogance addicted to atrocity that creates more problems than it solves. As we are involved in the dawning light of an Aquarian Age, our shared Earth history of the Aries Age past, the "Age of War, Fire and the Ram" of oround. 1875 BC to ca. 100 AD.
the great conquests and bloodletting in Harappa and Mohenjo Daro. the fall of the Hellenes to the invading and ascending Roman Empire...the entire world that had come to be that the Judeochristian Messiah was born into (as myths and legends tell us...)
the masculinist and dominating men-tality of the Aries age still towered in intellectual significance dire and atrocious during the Pisces Age...so as that age, too, comes to its cosmic close and as the New Age ascends, I would think deeply, but I would not think apologetically.
Not for fascist, misogynist tendencies that had been established as unholy writ from before my birth, before my generation and the lives of my cohorts. I would think deeply about CHANGING THESE THINGS.
