This week I have been visiting the technique of "Splash Photography".
Yesterday I only used natural light. Don't even bother! In order to freeze liquid and splashes, you need tons of light. It's recommended to use strobe lighting.. but I have to admit, I don't work with them with food. Usually it's a softbox or natural lights. The previous day's attempts are super grainy, and not really worth sharing. But I may later to show the difference.
Today I used continuous spot lighting behind my light tent.
I still don't think there was sufficient lighting. :( But, I was, kinda, sorta, happy with one. :) What I do suggest, is your f-stop setting needs to be set to 8 or higher in order for your splashes to all be in focus.
Shooting with a Nikon 810, with a 60mm macro lens.
