I liked this story. It has interesting characters that I care about and like. The mystery was good. I had no clue. The personal lines of the story touched me and made me think.
I really hate the recipe that comes between each chapter and throws me out of the story. It makes it hard to get lost in the story. Plus if you want to find them it makes it hard to search for them. I like them best at the end of a book personally.
This is book 11 of A Culinary Mystery but only the third one I have read. The next book is the last so I need to catch up and read the ones I have missed.
There is only 3 weeks before the wedding now. Sadie gets a letter telling her about the death of her sister and is asked to come help close up her apartment.
Sadie has not seen her sister for 15 years and they are not close at all. Their is a lot of mystery around her death and a fire a month later.
Pete and Sadie decide to go and help figure out what happened to her and meet her nephew. while their Pete and Sadie both end up going with deep emotions at the time. I even wondered if they were ready to get married.
I was given this book to read for purpose of giving a honest review of it.

At times this was a hard book to read. It is important to look back and see what Jesus did for you and me. I like the facts and the explaining why certain followers did or said something. At times it was laid out logical. Other times I just wanted to cry reading about the torture.
A lot of the details I have forgotten over the years. Like that their was three King Herod. I knew King Herod ordered all the boy babies under two to be killed. Did not know how gross he got before he died with his illness. I always figured that the number of boy babies was a lot higher that died. But one is to high.
I also liked how they told of Jesus riding into Jerusalem and how Pontius Pilate rode into Jerusalem on the other side with all the troops and compared them.
Another interesting fact was how many lambs were sacrificed in two hours at the temple.
This is a good look and understanding why so many people wanted Jesus to be killed. How many different times they wanted him to be killed.
This is a good book to read on Easter Weekend. Too really remember that Jesus is the Son of God. He died for us and he lives.
Stephen Mansfield used a lot of different resources to write this book from. That you can see where he got his information from.
The torture of all Jesus went through is very hard to read at times. At times very graphic. Explain just what happens when someone is crucified or scourged.
I believe that Jesus did live. He lived his life for us as examples of what to do. That he did miracles of making wine out of water, raising the dead.
This is the first book that I have read written by Stephen Mansfield. I would read more books by him in the future.
I was given this book to read and be part of its book tour. In return I have given my honest opinion of this book.

I liked all three stories. They are good clean fun. Each story can stand alone, so they are great if you just want to read one at a time. It is hard to pick a favorite story but I am going with Mis-Fortune. Because of all the humor. All three are positive stories. Each one gets a fortune cookie that comes true. I would read more books from all three authors in the future.
I was given this ebook to read and asked in return to give honest opinion of them.
Mis-Fortune was a fun read at times funny, sad, overwhelming that ended on high.
Emma is funny, responsible, talented and hard working. Emma has a hard life taking care of her mom, working as a waitress and writing a web comic that now she has a book made of her comic and is going to sale and promote it.
I really like the characters in it. Would love to see a picture of Emma's comic.
Love, Not Luck started out to be sad story. It had a couple of good messages in it. A lot of things that happen can be lucky or unlucky it depends on our perspective. Hard work makes us lucky. I really like Carter. He is a positive, good neighbor to have. He sees a problem and goes out of his way to help instead of turning away. He is fun and silly not making jokes that hurt anyone. Carter has a plan to help Lucy get through her breakup.
Takeout is the last story in Fortune Café. I like the characters. They care and sacrifice for their families. They are a good example for me.
Stella's mom has some serious health problems. So Stella came home from college to take care of her and run there jewelry shop. Her boyfriend did not like that and broke it off with her. Evan is a divorced father who loves his daughter. He wants her to spend the summer with him and not a babysitter. They both make choices because they are needed and they love and care about their families.

I wanted a little more to the story. Maybe if I had read the other books in the series I would like it more. There were a lot of love scenes that I skipped over.
I liked the scenes with the children the best. They were charming as a family. I would have liked more scenes with the others in them.
I liked the characters. I could see why Lani was scared to have a love affair with a Prince. She was good with the different children. She had made some wrong choices when she was younger and was afraid of making them again.
Lani was a nanny for her best friend Sydney and her husband Prince Rule. At night she was writing books of historical romance and using the royal library. She has spent a lot of time with Prince Maximilian in the library. He has written books too.
Prince Maximilian Bravo-Calabretti is heir to the throne. He is a widower with two children. He does not plan on ever getting married again. He has been attracted to Lani from the first. He has worked slowly to gain her trust. After they slept together one night Lani has been avoiding him. I have mixed thoughts about the Prince. He is devious in planning to get Lani where he wants her.
Max has a girl named Connie who is six and Nick is eight. He is a good father to his kids.
The setting for this series is Montedoro is by France. The ruler is Prince Maximilian's mother. Who has nine children. Max is the oldest.
I was given this ebook to read and in return agreed to give honest review of it by Netgalley and Harlequin.!

I enjoyed the Navy Seal Surrender it was full of drama, action, fights and characters that I liked. I also want to see the characters again. Right from the first pages starts the drama and does not slow down. Has good humor and friends who stick with you in hard times.
John Sloane got message that his dad home in Texas was ill. He rented a truck and drove straight to the ranch. He waved at people in town as he passed through. Waiting for him was his old girl friend Alicia of 12 years ago. She slapped him then kissed him and welcomed him home.
John's dad had a stroke. His twin was not to welcoming home. They had not seen each other for 12 years. They both blamed each other and the town blamed Brian for a fire that happened back then.
Alicia picked up her daughter Lauren from day care and then she was attacked and her daughter kidnapped. Alicia was left for dead.
Her step mother-in-law and her new husband blamed Alicia for Lauren's kidnapping. Then they blamed Brian. The police arrested Brian.
No one knew that John was home. He knew the only way to keep Alicia out of jail and get Brian out was too keep Alicia safe and find Lauren. He got a trusted neighbor to stay with his dad. He got Alicia to lay false trail where she was and called a member of his Navy Seal team to get him a ex-Navy seal who could give him backup and dig safely for information.
Dev instead of getting him help showed up with the gear to help find Lauren and get his brother free.
When they had found no evidence of Brian helping Alicia they let him go. His neighbor got Brian's hair like John's. So if anyone saw John they would think he was Brian. Brian could have a good alibi when needed.
It was funny in a way because everyone in town knew that John and Brian were identical twins. But since everyone knew that Brian was in the Navy and could not get home to find out about his dad's health earlier most expected only Brian for being in town so he was clear.
I really want to see Brian and Dev again with their own books. I really like them. I also wanted to see John and Alicia back together again. Alicia's husband had been dead for a few years. Then her father-in-law killed himself and left all his money to Lauren instead of his younger wife.
The setting for the book is Texas. It is fast paced and does not slow down. Did not put the book down till I was finished reading it.
The suspense was good you knew who the bad people were right off. But they needed to be got. The crime and setup was done with lots of planning and would have worked except that John came home at the right time.
 Their is one love scene.
This is the first book I have read I believe of Angi Morgan but I will read more books by her based on this one in the future.
I was given this ebook to read and in return asked to give honest review of it by Netgalley and Harlequin.
