Google released the Chrome Remote Desktop plugin for the Chrome web browser back in October 2012, which made it possible to share your computer screen with other Chrome users, or remotely control a PC or Mac directly from your web browser. Now Google has released an app for Android that lets you remotely access a PC or Mac from your smartphone or tablet.
Microsoft has updated its Office Remote app for Windows Phone that allows you to remotely control a Word, Excel or PowerPoint document running on a PC from your Windows Phone device via Bluetooth. This update displays a thumbnail of the current slide being displayed as well as a preview of the next upcoming slide, a way of playing and pausing media embedded into slides as well as a laser pointer.
Google has released a standalone version of its camera application for Android phones and tablets (running Android 4.4 "KitKat" or later) that makes it easy to take quick photos and videos and adds a number of creative picture modes.
