Beautiful entryway. You walk in and there's this gorgeous glass panel with water dripping down it. The restaurant is one of the most beautiful you'll find in the area, undoubtedly. And of course, that beauty comes with a (literal) price. If you're going to the Melting Pot, you have to get fondue. The cheesy fondues, while delicious, are admittedly very greasy and if you're the type of person that gets an upset stomach if you eat a medium fries at McDonalds, you need to steer clear of it. The dessert fondues, chocolate and the sorts, were the real treat. Frankly, it's a delicious meal you can nab there but it does get very very pricey so you must be prepared to spend the better part of a hundred for two people and maybe 150 for four. The con to this restaurant... it feels like they don't give you enough things to dip into the fondue. Here's this delicious boul (that's heated in the middle of the table) full of great fondue but if you aren't carefully slow, you'll eat right through all your dipping stuff and be left with a half-empty (or half-full) pot of food that you paid for that you can't just lap up. Maybe you can ask for more things to dip with but they might charge for that and frankly, you shouldn't have to. Don't expect the waiter to offer you more to dip with though, because he won't. It's still a great experience, although a bit overpriced, and makes for a great date as long as you have the coin. Just... don't give her the greasy fondue though guys unless you're looking to call the night early.

I'd wanted to try it for over a year and I was disappointed when I finally did for my birthday. I felt that for the high prices, I could've cooked my own meat at home. Especially for a first timer having duck and filet mignon, the food was not enjoyable. Dessert was good though.

The service was horrible and slow compared to other guests. They sat us as African Americans separate from all of the Caucasian patrons. The manager tried to give us a reason why we were seated a part but nothing made sense when you looked around. I will never go to this location again.

Quite possibly one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. This is not the place for a quick bite to eat, this is a place for sitting and enjoying good company and good food. The staff was attentive from the moment we walked in the door. Unsure about the complaints about the staff because our waitress was extremely helpful and attentive. She seemed genuinely interested in making sure we had a great dining experience. The food was excellent. We decided to try the 4 course experience. We had the cheddar fondue, followed by the house salad (the best house dressing I have ever had), followed by the pacific rim main course (beef tenderloin, duck, shrimp and pot stickers) and then finished with the yin & yang chocolate fondue. The cheese fondue is made right in front of you at your table. You do cook your own main course. Each meat takes about a minute thirty seconds to three minutes to cook. If you aren't into that, don't know what to tell you, do it for the experience. The duck was the best, incredibly tender. The chocolate fondue was incredible as well, absolutely zero complaints about the food. A bit pricey if you have a couple drinks, but for a special occasion, I can't think of a more pleasant place to go.

We were a little nervous about celebrating my birthday at the Melting Pot after reading the reviews about bad service. Our experience, however, was fantastic. We were seated right away (even before our reservation time), and our server, Chante, was incredibly upbeat and attentive. My husband and I both tried the 4 course experience and thought all 4 courses were delicious. Our server checked on us regularly, but never made us feel rushed or bothered. At the end of the meal, when our dessert fondue was brought, Chante also brought out a separate plate with two small pieces of cake with candles. I am due with our first baby any day now, and they had one blue and one pink candle and the plate had been decorated with the picture of a pregnant woman. It was such a great, personal touch to our dinner. The Melting Pot was the perfect place for a quiet, relaxed date night or celebration.

We've dined here on several occasions -- it's a favorite for my wife but I've always felt the price/value proposition was a little weak. Pretty expensive for the portion sizes. The day after Christmas, however, we did make a dinner reservation for New Year's Eve. At 2pm December 31, they called my wife to tell her that it would be a fixed price menu that night, at $129 per couple. This is easily $30-40 more than we'd ordinarily spend there, but there was no way we could pull out and get another reservation anyplace else. We ended up going anyway. The food was good, the service was good, but I can no longer recommend this restaurant because of this experience -- they had us right where they wanted us and we ended up paying a lot more than we planned on.
