This place is more about the ambience than the food. It's giant and usually packed but the food is ok and the drinks are tasty. Go here on Cinco de Mayo, they practically have to shut Manchester Rd down. :)

We ordered $13 margaritas. They were served to us in WARM/HOT glasses. So hot all the ice had melt before speaking to server about issue. Her response was "yeah, those were the only 2 clean glasses" and she "could bring us more ice" or "ice another clean glass and poor that drink into it". Instead of apologizing and getting us a new drink, she doubled down. I told her I didn't want it if this was the case so then she said unhappily "we can make you a new one then". We said no thanks and took our money to another restaurant. Worst service ever. She didn't give us her name, it was at cocktail table in bar.

The food was amazing. We split 4 enchiladas: beef, chicken, crab, and spinach. The spinach enchilada wasn't as good; it was basically all steamed spinach, similar to what you'd get out of a can, no seasoning, very few mushrooms/onions/etc... But everything else was delicious. Just so you know, if you have trouble getting enough salsa, there's a salsa bar inside by the bar, and it even has a second, spicier kind of salsa. The service was terrible though. We waited like 45 minutes for a table, which is understandable for a Saturday night, but then we waited about 25 minutes before the server introduced himself. The bussers brought out chips and salsa though, so at least we had something to occupy ourselves with. The beer I ordered took about 15 minutes, and everybody was super stingy about chips and salsa (hence why we went inside and got our own). I wasn't going to write about the service, because usually it's just one server having a bad night, and that shouldn't reflect on a restaurant overall. But when I told my coworkers the next day, one of them said "Oh you must've gone to Hacienda. Yeah, that place has terrible service." So I guess the wait we endured was typical. Liked: Food, atmosphere, music, crab enchiladas, salsa (esp. 3-pepper kind) Disliked: Wait-time, service, spinach enchiladas Overall, I would probably go here again, even with the wait. The restaurant's other qualities definitely make up for the lack of service, and we still had a fun night. Don't go if you're in a hurry or are impatient though; you'll only have a bad time.

Delicious! I saw and tried foods I haven't seen at other restaurants and was delighted by the variety of flavors and texture, which is often lacking at Mexican restaurants in the area. Also, I loved the outdoor eating area. The lush plants and architecture effectively transport you somewhere else- you would never know you were right on Manchester- while the shade and heaters keep you comfortable. Other notable aspects include professional staff, nice plating/presentation of food(excluding the chips and salsa, which were in one-time-use containers) and the grounds seemed clean and in good repair. A new favorite, cant wait to try something else!

I love Hacienda! It is slightly more pricey than the Mexican places I am used to, but the food and atmosphere more than make up for it. My favorite is the Navajo Taco, but the Hacienda Burrito and fajitas are spot on as well. Pro Tip: locate the chips and salsa bar near the bar area to find a spicy, chunky salsa to go along with the house salsa.

I have been going to Hacienda for about 40 years. I was amazed at how bad it was tonight. The chips were stale, my dinner had to be sent back, I have been ordering the same thing for quite a while, the food definitely wasn't up to normal standards, and the service was ridiculously slow. All of our favorite servers have retired and the new staff just doesn't seem to care. Normally we see a manager at least once during our meals, but we never saw one any where tonight. There are too many other restaurants to go to instead of eating so so food. Sorry Hacienda, we won't be back.

i went may 21, 1 ate the chips & salsa, and wasn't impressed; smile. for dinner i chose the combination enchilada; chicken, spinach, & beef with rice and beans__i was not impressed & swore i woould never eat there again!! i would think they wouldve know how to season their own food; smile. when i left, a friend asked how we liked the food?__i said i hated it! she also stated she didnt like the food, & only came for cocktails; unsmile.
