Secular Humanist, Skeptic, Science Fan, Geek, Game Developer, Programmer, Guitarist, Artist, Cyclist, ...
I'm skeptical of all sorts of things. Misrepresentation of what we know about reality can be very annoying to me. Homeopathy, cryptozoology, alien visitors, religion, conspiracy theories, ... Proponents of these hypotheses have failed to provide sufficient evidence to support their claims. My skepticism of religion means I am an atheist (agnostic atheist
to be precise. I do not reject that god can exist (or invisible pink unicorn, ...)).
I've been interested in making games since I was maybe 6 or 8 years old. It took me quite a while to get tools to begin game development (no internet).
Games (none released):
- you-can't-win Pong clone (BASIC)
- simple Tron clone (Pascal)
- quick and ugly (4 days of work) Worms clone (C)
- a simple first person shooter (with driving and stuff) (C++)
- some game I can't tell much about (Unity) (WIP)
Tools I have been using:
Some other nice apps:
I've been programming since I was about 10 or 12 years old. Started when I have found QBASIC on one of DOS disks and I have borrowed a really cool book about programming in BASIC.
BASIC -> Pascal -> C -> C++
Assembler, Java, UnityScript
I've been playing electric guitar since I have graduated from high school. Currently I'm playing on Ibanez RG321MH but I'd love to replace it with something better ASAP.
Favourite guitarists (in roughly this order):
- David Gilmour (Pink Floyd)
- Jimi Hendrix
- Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin)
- Slash (Guns N' Roses)
- Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath)
- Brian May (Queen)
- Kirk Hammett (Metallica)
- Pink Floyd (also David Gilmour, Roger Waters)
- David Bowie
- melodysheep (especially Symphony of Science)
- Led Zeppelin
- Jimi Hendrix
- Dream Theater
- Professor Elemental
