Theodore Hodges: Yes! I bought/ built/ installed one shortly after buying my 817 a little over a yr ago. Bought a few extra fuses as well, but haven't needed them. I see it as cheap insurance against me doing something stupid! :) Drilling the holes in the box and fitting the circuit inside it was a bit frustrating, but I got it done and was satisfied. That being said, too bad the box isn't just a tad smaller as it keeps the rig from being stable when stood on end. I like the fact that it reduces the amt of heat the rig has to dissipate when running on 12v. Would I still buy it, knowing what I know? Sure!
