One of my favourite places near Dublin. I have spent many hours here just watching the waves and have of course joined the regulars with a bit of swimming in the icy cold Irish Sea. Try it for yourself.

Famous and beautiful swimming place in south dublin. Also sheltered small sandy beach 50m away. next to Martello Tower where James Joyce lived and where Ullysses action starts (now Joyce's museum)

A great place to go for a swim regardless of the season. Water temperature stays between 11-13*C throughout the year. Has a very scenic surroundings.

Yes the water will be cold, the weather will likely be bad but it is still one of my favorite spots in Dublin. Best way to start your day!

Want to swim? Just go there and plunge in a cold water. There is quite a lot local people doing so!

Great natural, public sea swimming location!! You can swim at either high or low tide here, so it's very flexible. Famous for a Christmas morning dip!
