I think a properly cultivated early access program with some strict standards in place could be interesting on consoles, especially if there was no cost for what is essentially crowd sourced beta testing. Steam is NOT a service to model in this regard. It's the Wild West of early access. Anything goes.

The Fierce Reads tour stopped at the Gaithersburg Book Festival in Maryland on Saturday, featuring +Lindsay Smith , Katie Finn and Anna Banks. I was fortunate enough to capture these brilliant Young Adult authors on film.

My former employer nominated me for the ALS ice bucket challenge. I decided to donate for a cure rather than waste perfectly good ice. #alsicebucketchallenge

Please don't associate Nickelback with me, Alex. I did have that ZZ Top album on vinyl growing up, so I'm no stranger to this song.

Introduction
I'm a gaming enthusiast - everything from MMOs, to console games, to tabletop RPGs to board games. I love the stories that games can tell, and the stories that come from gaming. I love the psychology behind why we play them in the first place. Most of all, I love the common bond that exists between gamers everywhere, and the passion they have for their hobby, even when they disagree.

I also love my girlfriend, and our dog. Both of them put up with me, and both are always there at the end of a long day.

I have an interesting job at a company I respect for a boss I admire, and I get paid a decent wage to do it. It funds my hobbies and allows us to live in the heart of Washington, DC.

I'm also quite fond of: science fiction, fantasy, the supernatural, craft beers, travel, dining out, detective shows and the life and times of Tom Selleck, my personal hero.

Senate Square was our home for the four years we've been in the District. We've seen a lot of changes in that time, and most were positive. The location is excellent, the roof is huge, and I appreciated that we could have a pet and all the amenities the property has to offer. We've had great interactions with the management staff, especially the former concierge Sandy. We're moving out at the end of this month, but only because we've purchased a home in the area. Unfortunately, I cannot give the property 5 Stars due to the fact that many of the other tenants treat the property with the "frat house" mentality mentioned in other reviews. These seem to be mostly twenty-somethings, (likely Government interns) who are enjoying their free ride in the District at the expense of everyone else around them. The property is supposed to be secure, but it is hard to maintain that when people throw parties with dozens of people and block the front doors open. The pool is nice, but it's almost almost full of the MTV Spring Break crowd, whose general irresponsibility and stupidity rob the rest of the residents of its enjoyment. As more and more rental properties have been built in the area, the increased competition has obviously put pressure on the rental staff to lower their standards where occupants are concerned. Don't misunderstand me. Some of the residents are actual adults, and are friendly and outgoing people who respect the place they live. It's just a shame that you'll encounter things like beer spills, broken glassware, chicken bones and the like in the elevators. It's a clear sign that some of the residents have no sense of pride in themselves or their community, and as a result treat our mutual home like it was a cheap hotel at Daytona Beach. Overall, Senate Square is a fantastic property with a lot to offer, and the location is excellent. I know we'll miss services we've gotten used to like dry cleaning drop off and pickup, convenient package delivery, the fitness center, underground parking, the business center, the excellent housekeeping staff (who have a tough job), and a 24/7 concierge service. If they can manage to perform a little "pest control" when it comes to the intern crowd, it would be even better.
