Welcome--I'm so glad you stopped by. I'm Diana and I grew up on the edge of the Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York--hence my blog name. I get excited about all things vintage and antique. I love the feel of old things in my hand, and I love to fix them up and give them new life. My passion is my faith and my family, so you'll hear a bit about that too. Make yourself at home, and if you like what you see, don't forget to follow me.

Love both your displays, Rita. That blue majolica is sure something--it looks just lovely with the white china. Your teapot with the matching cream and sugar is stunning! Not the look I've come to expect from Pier 1--I might have to run over and check out their inventory...

Ack! So many amazing finds, Rita! Your majolica stand was a terrific find, all the quilts, the foot warmer, oh my :) You've and your sisters have had a very successful spring. The season hasn't even begun in my neck of the woods :( Next month, I hope!!

What a wonderful collection Rita, and yes, it is a "collection" LOL. It's so hard to pick a favorite. I guess I'd start with Bunny Van Gogh (had me giggling); I loved everything about his precious story. The MacKenzie-Childs rabbits are pretty amazing, as are the four, long-eared clay versions in your collage-of-bunnies. Hope you're having a great week :)

I can't believe you've already got bulbs pushing up and almost flowering!! Our snow just melted yesterday and we are many weeks away from anything blooming :( I love all your bunnies and sheep; they're putting me in the springtime mood :)

Beautiful, sassy Valentine's Day wreath Marie--simple but it makes a great statement. It would really pop on my black front door :)

So many fantastic finds, Rita! Some of my favorites: your transferware platter, Joy Parfum, bowling set, tartan car carrier, 48-star flag, wooden airplane!!!!, and cow bell. Thanks for sharing :)

OMGosh, you really had me chuckling today, Rita! I love glitter but do not love finding it everywhere-usually several specks of it on my face or in my hair. No leaf pick up (unless in bags) in my town but in several nearby towns and/or villages. Your daughter's turkey trick was hysterical. LOVE the pic of you laying down on your beautiful marble floor--you are an absolute stunner!! I can just imagine you in your ballet gear, leaping and twirling - all grace and charm and beauty. Honestly, with all of your southern charm it's hard for me to imagine your sweet mother calling anything f'n, but your story had me cracking up. Thanks for the smiles and the stories :)
