Stayed this past weekend. Very nice KOA. Well kept. Staff was very nice and helpful. Didn't think the trains was a big deal at all. Wasn't as loud as people were making it out to be. Did have the A/C cranked up on hi though. Would stay again and would recommend to anyone. Stayed in my 2016 30'Jayco Jay Flight TT. 😃

I have camped all across the US And have been to numerous KOA's. But if you value sleep, you won't get it here! The tent camping is right next to a very active train track that got progressively more active as the night went on. Bring strong sleeping pills or noise canceling ear plugs! Besides this, the KOA facilities where what you'd expect.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, and for staying with us during your recent trip to the Springfield area. Please accept our sincere apologies that your sleep was disturbed by nearby trains, this is unfortunately something that is beyond our control. We will continue to do our best to provide an excellent experience at our campground and do hope you will come back to give us another chance to impress.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, and please accept our apologies that you were not completely satisfied during your recent stay with us. We do have train tracks near the campground but unfortunately when the trains come through is not something we can control. We'll continue to do our best to ensure our guests have a great experience and appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts.

The people were SO nice! Lots of trees and shade! We got a deluxe patio site and it was very nice. There is a train that comes through a couple times a night, but many commercial campgrounds are near train tracks. Not a big deal for us! If you need to camp in this area, you will like it here!

Thank you so much for staying with us Cindy! We are so glad to hear you had a wonderful time and hope you will find your way back to us again. Safe travels and we wish you all the best.

The people working this KOA are wonderful! The issues are: each site is on top of the one next to it (crowded in like sardines), lots of mosquitoes flying around (we live in the area an don't have this problem...stagnant water somewhere perhaps?), and I can't say enough about the train. Some reviews mention a train close by. Well, every train that passes, which is a couple of times an hour, blows its horn and sounds as if it is coming right through your camper! All day, all night, all the time. We only slept when we passed out from pure exhaustion! The track had to be there first. We wonder whose bright idea it was to build this campground so close to the tracks. We did like the dog park, where we could let our little puppy off his leash and run in a safe area. The workers were excellent...not much they can do to make the park any better than it is (other than getting rid of those huge mosquitoes!).

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Camping is an outdoor experience and so you will have mosquitoes from time to time, however we definitely don't want them to get out of control. We'll pass along your feedback to our management team so they can keep a look out for this issue. As you mention, we do our best to keep everything on the park in excellent condition but cannot control external factors such as the train. While it does run daily, it does not often run as frequently as you describe. We do apologize that you were not able to get a good night sleep and wish you all the best on your future travels.

Great shady area, very clean bathrooms BUT the trains. If your happy to be woken every couple of hours with a training blowing its horn for several minutes stay. For those that want sleep drive on.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, and for staying with us during your recent visit to the Springfield area. Our team works extremely hard at making sure our campground experience is wonderful for all of our guests, but unfortunately there are some things beyond our control. We do apologize you were not able to sleep as well as we would have hoped and wish you all the best on your future travels.
