A pixel is not a pixel: Somewhat interesting that 20px in CSS is NOT 20 pixels:

Source files for my quick and dirty 'about me' web page are now on GitHub. It uses ES6, Babel / Browserify, ThreeJS, and Gulp for build. Might add some niceties as and when I get time.

Had some spare time the past few days and made a little one page website 'about me': http://karim.kurst.co.uk/

It's just an image gallery build ThreeJS, Es6 (Babel/Browserify), and a nice little transition.

some huge performance regression bugs in chrome at the moment:

A task that use to take 3 seconds now takes 30 in chrome 46 ( and 45 )

Google V8 experiments:

We want to implement an optional type system for JavaScript, directly in the VM.

The basis will be TypeScript, but modified to have a sound semantics — i.e., types are always correct and cannot be subverted (though the type any exists as an escape hatch, making types optional).

Found a little time to play with Dart. The more I use it the more I like it. Anyway, worked on somewhat of a nicer demo for my SVG library: http://bit.ly/1sUS04X

This demo uses the Microphone, or line in (if your system is configured that way) to show an FFT equalizer.

Link: http://kurst.co.uk/samples/dartsvg/web/ ( I guess this needs chromium )
