Linux 2.6.32.58 is now released.
Note, this is the LAST 2.6.32 kernel I (+Greg Kroah-Hartman) will be releasing. Please move to the 3.0 kernel. If you can not move to the 3.0 kernel, please let the kernel developers know why (on the linux-kernel mailing list, not here).
The 2.6.32 kernel will still be maintained by a different developer now, but the frequency of releases will be much slower.

+Donald Teed but larger version numbers generate a gestalt psychic field which makes things better; just like red go faster stripes on a car!Mar 5, 2012
I don't know... the 2.6 works well so...Mar 5, 2012
+Donald Teed cgminer went from 7.1mh/s to 7.4mh/s average. I don't use gentoo for speed, it's ironic that someone would spend 5 days building a system to save 30s of CPU time. I use it in memory constrained servers to trim out the crap I don't need. Like dbus, avahi and others without having to track and manage dependencies myself. Change was noticed from 3.2.7 to 3.2.9 and is reproducible by rebooting under the other kernel. .config is the same for both kernels.
+Gregor Gorjan 3.x is 2.6, version bump is because of age not major changes. But then again if it ain't broke you're right, don't fix it. But there's no reason not to upgrade from 2.6 unless you can't (or shouldn't) reboot the system for some reason.Mar 5, 2012
There will be no 2.6.32.100 release? What a pity... :(Mar 6, 2012
