Reading Google+ feeds is rewarding, but they tend to be much more demanding than their Facebook counterparts.  It feels a bit too much like work for a social network sometimes.

Been thinking a lot about hillshading recently. Great to see this post by Mike Migurski on creating a beautiful new OSM terrain layer (and I'll +1 to his shoutout of http://www.reliefshading.com/ )

...although I would have missed interesting stuff by doing that, like the linked blog post. I'm really not sure why so many programmers, myself included, are still using editors designed long ago. I'll probably have some better thoughts to post on this after I've thought about it for a bit.
