Possibly the most popular brunch destination in Montclair, NJ. The food is excellent, the service is polite and zippy, and the environment is on the loud side. Reminiscent of a NYC bruch spot, you can get some interesting plates here but be prepared to be very close to your neighbors. Also, there is always a line at Sat/Sun brunch times so be prepared to wait half an hour or more. They can give you a text message when your table is ready. Great spot to eat, just plan ahead.

I loved their vegan options on menu. They even have vegan butter and almond milk. Friendly servers and pleasant environment.

Pleasant atmosphere and friendly was delivered in about 6 mins and it was a large breakfast. Great place for a brunch, it's unique and it's worth visiting. 5 stars

DO NOT GO HERE! A friend and I who were interested in having a breakfast out of the norm decided to take a trip to Toast. We called ahead to see how long the wait was as we didn't have too much time. When we called to ask how long the wait for 2 was the response we got was, "We don't give wait times over the phone but the wait is not long if any. We can seat 2 easily." We decided to take the trip and when we arrived roughly 15 minutes later, the snobby red haired gentleman at the door said, "Wait is 45 minutes." When I advised him that we called roughly 15 minutes earlier, he said it didnt matter. Their clear "BAIT AND SWITCH" makes it obvious that their food doesn't carry the day. People, much like myself, have no problem waiting so long as the food and service is good. Left and went to Bluestone Coffee Co. which is always wonderful and a great staff to say the least. DO NOT GO UNLESS YOU WISH TO BE MISLEAD AND BAITED IN.

I'm sorry that any quote of a wait time was given. It is my policy not to give one becaaue so much can change in two minutes never mind 15. Bait and switch hardly. It's why the people on the phone said we normally don't give wait times over the phone.- And the snobby red haired gentleman is an adorable highschool boy doing his best to deal with a demanding crowd. Sorry you had an unfavorable experience. Thanks for writing.

Toast is definitely great, but it is often overrated.

Great place but the wait is long and they don't take reservations via the phone. Make sure you give yourself about 25 mins of wait time in the weekends

I love Toast! It's a very family friendly place or a great place to catch up with friends for brunch! The food is fresh and very tasty. Get there early on Saturday and Sunday, it gets crowded because once people get in, they never want to leave!

Toast hasn't shared anything with you.

People are more likely to share with you if you add them to your circles.
