Anyone out there have any experience working with composite decking? My back deck needs some work, and I've considered using the composited decking because it supposed to be low maintenance. But looking at the reviews of Trex and Veranda at HomeDepot.com, I'm not impressed. Anyone have any actual experience with these materials?

A question for those using Steam on Linux. On my desktop computer, I have logins/sessions for me and my 3 kids. We share a single steam account. Since steam downloads files to the home folder, is there a way to set things up so that I don't have to re-download all of those game files for each of the kids' login/session? Thanks in advance!

I finally said I've had enough with dual booting Windows after Windows updates destroyed both the Linux and Windows partitions on my desktop. After today, I'm Linux only.

Spent the day moving my novel writing from Scrivener to Emacs. Time consuming, but in the long run it will be worth it.

I'm new to Emacs and have found Org mode to be a wonderful tool for my writing, but I have a question. By default, Emacs opens an org file with all of the bullet points collapsed, and you can add #+STARTUP: showall to the file to display the entire tree expanded at startup. Is there a way to have just one bullet point expanded at startup, and the rest collapsed? Thanks in advance!
