Elecraft KX3, Serial number 16 yesterday arrived for fieldtest. First impressions are excellent. Receiver is much better than expected. It works in the evening on 40m without intermodulations. Nearby extrem strong CW stn don´t block or reduce sensitivity on my working frequency. KX3 seems to follow its sister K2: It has a built in Mojo. Worked N2MM using 5W in CW on the first try allthough she had a nice pileup by other European stn.:-)

Fieldtest of the new elecraft KX3 Transceiver was planned to start in October. Due to problems with some part suppliers, myself and 19 other fieldtesters are still waiting, but there is a hope to get hands on the rigs in November. Videos of the existing prototypes may help until we can play with real rigs :-)

Now I´m playing with my KX3 SN00016 every free minute :-)
RX is much better than expected, no k3, but really not far away. Actually it´s one of the the best receivers I tested ever. Even in the evening at 40m with 30dB Preamplifier on (I know, foolish, but ok for test purpose) I could not find any IM2 or IM3 distortions. (but the Preamp was switched back 10dB Gain automatically when some extra QRO signals came on the band :-))
