Sheryl provides a unique service offering music for the entire wedding. This service can include, but is not limited to the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. What makes her unique is that she offers a live performance during dinner. She operates as the Master of Ceremonies making sure all of the important moments are announced and go according to plan. All background music is pre-recorded and played through a state of the art sound system - Sheryl’s singing and entertainment is of course live!
She is also available as a soloist for your ceremony and can provide a live combo to accompany her for the cocktail and/or dinner hour. For more information please fill out the contact form by clicking the link below:

Part 4 Karaoke Q & A - SINGING (conclusion)
Part 1 was Posture. Part 2 was Breathing. Part 3 was Vocalizing. NOW we are putting it all together.
GOOD LUCK and have FUN!

4. Singing: Now it’s time to work on what we came here for!! Choose a song you know and love. Sing it and record it while practicing in front of a mirror. Listen to your recording. Anything you notice? A great tool is to sing the words on only the vowels. For example - O mio babbino caro - oh ee oh ah ee oh ah oh. This will help to make the song fluid and help you to focus on keeping the throat open, breathing, posture etc. So the consonants, while important, become more incidental. It’s the vowels that carry the song.

Part 3 Karaoke Q & A - VOCALIZING
GOOD LUCK and have FUN!

3. Vocalizing: Vocal exercises help to incorporate alignment and breathing with expressing the sound and to train your ear to hear. We often try to sing like the recording we’ve heard. While we can always benefit from listening to great singers, we want to connect with our own ear and natural voice. It’s best to start simple at first. My favorite exercise to begin with is to sing on the vowel - Mee May Mah Mo Moo. Then, after a few of those, take away the “m” and sing - ee ay ah oh oo. Keeping the throat open, larynx neutral, and jaw and tongue relaxed.

Part 2 Karaoke Q & A BREATHING
GOOD LUCK and have FUN!

2. Breathing: We want to prolong the breath, ie; breath control. To begin, just relax and become aware of your breathing. Then, focus on the inhale. Think of your lungs like a glass you are filling with water. First breathe into the lower part of the lungs causing the lower abdomen to expand, then the middle of the lungs where the ribs expand, and then the the upper where the chest expands. On the exhale, start from the bottom. Allow the lower abdomen to come in and up while keeping the ribs and chest lifted and expanded. There is a tendency to tighten the shoulders, allow them to remain relaxed. There are many great breathing exercises. A good one to begin with is to exhale on a “sssss", like a beach ball slowly losing air. #Karaoke lessons >> http://ow.ly/qAJR30k74kU

Part I Karaoke Q & A - POSTURE
Question:
My friends always want me to go with them to sing Karaoke. I am a little shy and truthfully have no idea what I am doing. Do you have any tips?
Answer:
I am so glad you asked this question! First off, let’s remember why we want to sing - because it feels good! It feels good to howl at the moon or sing in the shower when we think no one is listening (or really don’t care if anyone’s listening). Well, with a few pointers, perhaps I can help to make it feel even better! There are fundamental basics which can help. Not only in singing, but in daily life. Also, it will be helpful to have a full body mirror(if possible) and recording device available.
This will be a four part series on singing Karaoke. GOOD LUCK and have FUN!

1. Posture: Healthy posture is essential. It not only helps our bones, muscles, nervous system and everything else, it allows the energy of the body to flow freely. So: Imagine your head as though it had a hook on it, suspending you in the air, while the rest of your body floats down and is grounded with ease. Then, stand with your feet facing forward and your knees, hips, shoulders and ears all simply aligned on top of each other. Chin is parallel to the floor and slightly tilted down. We want to be fluid and relaxed versus tight and rigid.
