What a great restaurant! My husband and I, along with several friends just enjoyed a fabulous dinner this past Saturday evening. We had the opportunity to sit on their front porch patio. What a special treat for a large party! The food was delicious and the staff was great! It was really more than great! This was actually the second time, we and our friends (Newport Beach, Manhattan Beach, San Juan Capistrano and Irvine) enjoyed dinner here! A truly great, great find!

Wonderful and classy environment, delicious food, and on their game service! Reservations are a requirement pretty much in advance. Lovely owners!

I'd love to say that I loved it, but it was just OK. The service was pretty solid, the food was pretty alright, but just not as good as I'd hoped it would be. The thing is, it almost feels like they're trying a little too hard to make fancy food, rather than just making good food. If they toned what they were trying to do down a little bit and just focused on making good food, then I think they'd be up a start or even two. Still, fantastic setting.

I am relatively new coming to this restaurant but the 3 times I have been during the day more during lunch time, every sandwich I have ordered has been absolutely fantastic. I cannot speak for the entire menu, and someone that I was with last time when we went did order some sort of omelette or egg dish that looked quite good, but it didn't completely blow me away when I took a bite. Then again I wasn't eating that dish and if I kept going it might have been absolutely delicious. the first time I was there I ordered one of their specials that day which was a kind of pressed French sandwich with ham and cheese and it was absolutely fantastic. This last time I went I ordered their meatball sandwich lunch and it was possibly the best meatball sandwich I've ever had in my life, it was just absolutely fantastic. One time we also went with a really big party when we had friends and family in town and they were very accommodating we had like 16 people at a big table. Everything look delicious and my friend ordered a fish dish that was also very good. I believe that was trout. But all I know is that the sandwiches I have ordered have been to die for Also I must say that as someone who tries to like coffee more and more especially when its really good coffee that their coffee is delicious

Good Japanese-inspired food, but a little pricey. The seared Sashimi tuna was excellent, as were the shrimp gyoza. The butternut squash soup and fusili pasta were nice (home-style), but perhaps not as gourmet as you would expect for the prices. Did not have dessert.

we anticipated the valentine dinner with hope that it would be better than the vile meal we had the night before at another highly-touted local restaurant, and we weren't disappointed. the staff and food were terrific; the portions a bit large, but well-prepared... especially the vegetables, which were cooked perfectly.
