I have been to Cheeky Monkey numerous times and it has always been a pleasant experience. Fantastic food, good atmosphere, helpful staff, and an adorably decorated women's bathroom. Our server today was Amanda and she was absolutely fantastic! She made the experience a five instead of a four. Her positive and exuberant attitude was contagious. She really made the experience!

I've been to Cheeky Monkey for their deli lunch menu - it was great. So, I was excited to eat here for dinner and try the Bistro menu. Bad decision. Started with being ignored for more than five minutes waiting to be seated. After we were seated, we waited more than 10 minutes until we finally asked for a server. Service was horrible - unfriendly and inattentive. Food was practically inedible. We sent one Cuban sandwich back and the lackluster adult grilled cheese was really overpriced at $8. Bottom line is I could forgive the mediocre, over-priced food but I absolutely hate paying for bad service.

Disaster. The only good thing was I was greeted with a smile, and then it was downhill all the way. The wait for the food was way to long, and besides there was at least six to eight people in the kitchen area, mostly ignoring the people that were seated. Plus the place was pretty empty, I was there around two o'clock. I ordered the daily special, mac and cheese, some nice variety of cheese I will mention. It took close to twenty minutes to get it. It was brought to my table on a plate on a white napkin under the cast iron dish the mac and cheese was reheated in. The macaroni itself was no better then the cheapest macaroni you buy in the store, no garnishment no nothing. They could have sprinkled a little paprika on it for some color. Nobody stopped and asked if everything was alright The waitress that brought the food had an attitude and just dropped the food on the table and grunted some unintelligible words. The lunch wasn't cheap and I knew the service was slow, but it has gone from slow to terrible and I left at least half the food, it was uninteresting and after waiting so long I lost my apitite. Never again.

I recently tried The Cheeky Monkey Deli for Sunday brunch with my family, and was very disappointed with our experience. The brunch menu is very limited, and service is extremely slow. Although the restaurant was not busy, we waited nearly an hour for our food. When the food finally came, the Eggs Benedict were completely raw, and the French Toast was an egg-less, bland, rubbery mass of bread with a slimy fruit topping. We sent the eggs benedict back, but did not see the server for another 20 minutes. We finally just asked for the check and left. No effort was made to compensate us for the poor meal, and the manager did not offer any apology. Instead, she informed us that the delay was because of “how we wanted the eggs done”. Apparently “cooked” is an unusual order.

So our family decided to go at Cheeky Monkey for lunch. We had a larger party than typical and we had a few small kids with us (1 - 4). We had eaten here before and remember the great food, so we decided to come again. We were in for quite a disappointment. The food was still as good as we remembered, but the service was extremely poor. We emphasized that the kids orders should come out first before the rest. We waited over an hour for our food to be delivered. We got all kinds of excuses, including "the kitchen is pretty small and can handle so many orders". We repeatedly asked to have the kids order brought out, only to keep waiting. Finally, after an hour worth of wait, our orders showed up. One of the orders was wrong (and we were charged the full amount for it - more expensive). There was no courtesy in saying that the staff at Cheeky Monkey will do something special for our group since we had so long to wait. I was expecting at least 10% off the bill since we ended up spending over $100. This is so unacceptable that I hate to say it, but Cheeky Monkey has lost our business entirely going forward. They need to invest in better training the staff and ensuring that food delivery is within adequate time frames. If the kitchen is indeed as small as the staff told us, maybe management should look into expanding the kitchen so it could handle its clientele a little better. Good luck Cheeky Monkey :( Extremely Disappointing!!!

The food was awesome! I had the mushroom brie and loved it. My husband had the chili and he said it was super. We had deviled eggs and the homemade chips with the crab dip and those too were fantastic! We had a party of 7 and the service was great. We will go back again! Oh and the wine selection was great, too!

The food itself was decent, cooked freshed, had taste, and overal was presented well nice unique local restaurant. However the price was not anywhere near worth the proportion you get. That is the main reason i gave it 3 stars. In addition the wait time was just too long for a deli. Might give it one more chance but not likely anytime soon. Dissatisfied.

We visited Cheeky Monkey after discovering our first choice of restaurant no longer accepted dogs. And are we glad we did! Not only do they allow dogs in their outdoor seating, but our pup received his water first! Then came the food. Wow! Perfect doesn't begin to describe it. After two bites of my spinach salad, I declared it was the best salad I have ever had! And that isn't an exaggeration, either. Everything dish our party had was fresh, light, and tasty. None of the dishes had an overwhelming taste, but rather had subtle flavors that intermixed well, stimulating the tastebuds for more!!! We will be back!!!
