The salad was great but they forget my order. I was sat at the bar and the staff discussed the issue as if I wasn't there. When my salad finally turned up I was given no apology. Sort your staff out. Hipster might think they're cool but that doesn't make them good waiters.

We went there for new years eve breakfast in hopes it wouldn't be a long wait. However, wrong!!! After almost 2 hour wait ... we were sat at the counter. Ambiance: Very relaxed. The service is friendly and fast. I had the basic 2 eggs with lemon ricotta pancakes. They are goooood! Wish I could get the receipt and make them at home. Overall, I would go back but it is a commitment, due to the very long wait. So maybe I'll be back later in the year when it warms up.

Great food and vibrant atmosphere! Sometimes there is a bit of a wait for a table but you can start on the coffee/mimosas whilst you wait! Staff are friendly and the place is too cute not to love!!

I didn't realize they were known for their lemon buttermilk pancakes… The wait was pretty ridiculous. We waited for two hours, but it was worth it!

Pros: - crispy potatoes (everything you could ever want in fried potato chunks) - lemon ricotta pancakes ( crispy on the outside, soft and creamy on the inside, great balance of lemon and cheese) - waitress was super nice and gave us blankets because it was chilly on the patio Cons: - 1 hour wait at 1:20pm on a Sunday afternoon Bottom line: must go at least once! If it weren't for the long wait, I would definitely go more often.

Every now and then when I review a place I wish I could give a bonus star because the experience was so beyond my expectations, and plow is one of them. The atmosphere of this tiny restaurant is super cool. There are little wooden tables and a bar that faces the kitchen. We sat at the bar and watched the cooks prepare the food in a way that I an only describe as a dance-like performance. The kitchen is very small so they had to work together to cook the food and prepare the plates. My husband and I were completely entranced watching them. Then the food... We both ordered the Plow. My order consisted of almond flour pancakes, rosemary potatoes, eggs, and apple chicken sausage. It was the most delicious breakfast I have had potentially ever. I am contemplating a trip back to San Francisco just to eat here again. Note to people with food allergies: if you are sensitive to cross contamination, this is not the place for you, as everything is cooked on the same griddle.

I'm glad I finally made it to Plow after hearing great things about it for quite some time now. Especially since it's in my own neighborhood, the charming Potrero Hill, which I have fallen in love with after moving here a year ago (which is a blog-worthy entry on its own). Sadly, I did not walk there given the tremendous surrounding hills, but after the decadent brunch, wish I did, to ease the guilt of having ingested a mere 5000 calories (i'm sure!) in one sitting. *sigh* but some things in life are worth it! The Plow platter is the dream come true for a greedy person with an indecisive mind and a huge appetite. Never again would one have to choose between savory and sweet- the platter comes with generous 'samplings' of eggs, crispy fried potatoes which were amazing, choice of bacon or 2 types of sausages, and a small stack of lemon ricotta pancakes. It's as though the chef knew the dilemma I have every time I stare at a brunch menu and want to order 3 different entrees to satiate all cravings, only to be forced to settle for one and a side of this or that. So, for those with this same 'first world problem' as mine, there is finally a solution! Now if only the rest of the brunch places would just catch on...

Wonderful brunch food and selection. Always a long wait. Slightly better on weekdays and late morning. You cannot go wrong with pancakes, eggs or anything. High quality ingredients.
