Remember guys: If it's not a Daily Deal, Flash Sale, or Community Choice, DON'T BUY IT. It will be. Now, enjoy the Steam Sale.

Of the $100 Steam Wallet card I bought in December to last me the year, I still have $83 and change. Managed to hold myself to one Humble Bundle of games I own't play too. If not for the $200 I dropped for a Marvel Heroes Ultimate Pack (which technically wasn't breaking my rules as it was all gift money) I'd be on track for my spending challenge limits.

Marvel Heroes is vexing. I want it to be good and keep not enjoying it. Character models are high quality, but the enviornements look like crap. Have the least fun playing Spider-Man which is the toon I most want to play. His web swing is just broken. Enemies look like they're ducking it rather than getting hit by it and half the time it lands you in a place you can't get out of.  Hoping the last beta patch fixes some of that, but I fear they're in polish rather than fix mode.

Ah got you. They are being knocked down. That must be one of the effects of the web swing attack. That is a good thing. Stops them from attacking for a few, and stops any channel attacks they may be doing.
Thats the game play aspect of it. They are being hit at least :D

Use that code for 10% off Marvel Heroes Founder's Packs. Fun game so far, but will be Free To Play and anything that isn't purely cosmetic will supposedly drop in game. It's basically Diablo with a Marvel skin. So if that appeals to you so might the game.

Full Disclosure, if you use the code I get $5 of in game money (which is used to buy those purely cosmetic things). Yay.

Actually if you even register for an account, until the 27th you have a chance to win an "Ultimate" Pack which includes a closed beta key. Code is good until March 8 so take a shot at winning and buy if you don't.

OK, San Diego while I'd rather be here than back home with the snow, I was really hoping you'd give me at least 60 degrees...

You can pick up Civ V: Gods and Kings for $3 and change at GreenMan Gaming right now. Stupid cheap.

You know Louis CK, Jim Norton is one of the funniest men alive, and Patrice O'Neal is one of the greatest thinkers you never got to know. Buy this Humble Bundle.
Pay what you want to get comedy by Louis C.K., Patrice O’Neal, Maria Bamford, Tig Notaro, Hannibal Buress, and Jim Norton -- all while supporting vital charities!

I think the new question with Steam Sales (especially for indie games) is do I buy the game now or wait for it to pop up in a Humble Bundle?

I guess you can ensure that a bigger slice of the cake goes to the devs if using Humble Bundle (depending on how much you pay ofc).

To help promote +Marvel Heroes, Alienware is giving out a free Iron Man "Heartbreaker" skin. This is really nice...For anyone that has Iron Man.

From what I saw iron Man is a $20 hero. Why are they giving away a free "gift" that costs $20 to use?

Marvel Heroes is a good game that everyone should try, especially if you like Marvel or Diablo style games.

All this will do is entice people to download the client see They need to pay to use the freebie and likely give up.

Someone should have thought ahead and designed a free skin for one of the free characters.

Yes the hero or skin would be the joint. Give a new person a taste of the fun, suck them in immediately. Get them invested.

#ifihadglass  I would probably just walk around with it turned off to make the other nerds jealous. I'd be a walking billboard, nothing more.

So Sleeping Dogs at 75% off was the first casualty of my $100 Steam Limit for the year. Normally I would have mindlessly bought a game that had generally good reviews and was so cheap, but after stopping to ask myself "Will I play this anytime soon?" I decided against the purchase. Sitting at around $88 after the Holiday sale, Minecraft, Civ V: G&K, and WoW getting the majority of my gaming time.

Had a fun day with family, but the aquarium seemed lacking. They're apparently still rebuilding in the aftermath of Sandy and you can definitely tell. It didn't feel like there was much to look at fish wise, and the shark tank was pretty depressing (with promises of a great new one under construction). The live show with the sea lions was pretty good. The staff seemed really into it. If you're nearby anyway it's worth a stop, but definitely not worth the trip if it's your only destination. Look forward to it's future though. Hope to head back after the construction.

Excellent food. Great drinks. Fantastic, friendly service. I don't get here as often as I'd like, but it's always a great time when I do.

May have been one of the worst shopping experiences of my life. After spending half an hour here, I'm convinced that every "People of Wal-Mart" post originated here. This place is huge but feels claustrophobic at the same time. All sorts of random noise is distracting and makes the experience horrible. The staff seemed friendly, but the customers certainly were not. Will not be back.

Really enjoyed the Headhouse. Dropped in for a late lunch on a Saturday. Had a few drinks and a couple of appetizers (which turned out to be a ton of food). Everything was great. Staff was really friendly as well. Definitely look forward to a return trip.

Great comic store. Friendly staff. Did a favor for a sick friend by putting away some books for her on Free Comic Book Day. Quality all around.

Very clean theater. Feels much more laid back than many with couches and comfortable chairs around the lobby. They even sell beer and wine at the down stairs concession area (which seemed equipped to sell but didn't have popcorn during my visit). Great seats inside the theaters as well. Very comfortable. Not full on recliners, but you don't miss that. Seats are numbered and rows are lettered so it looks like they could do reserved seating, but I didn't see the option to reserve a seat when buying online. That would be a great service.
