Amazing food, great atmosphere and an extensive wine list. Melt in your mouth NY strip steak. Huge slices of cheesecake for dessert. Loved it!

Delicious steakhouse with nice ambiance. Great for dates, celebrations, family get-together and work dinners. I actually loved their service, waiters were very attentive. The steaks are obviously delicious. I had a bone-in-ribeye and thought it was excellent. Everyone at my table was impressed with meat dishes. Deserts were nothing special, but then again, you come to stake house for stakes, not deserts. I also loved their decor. The wallpaper was a bit odd at first, but came out very classy in a combination with the whole atmosphere. Strongly recommend.

I love steakhouses and am very happy I have discovered this one. It feels more relaxed than many in the city and the food is just as good. The background music and decor really make this feel like a comfortable and not stuffy place to eat. The service was exceptional, the type where you feel you are the only table in the restaurant. I ordered a rib eye and 2 others in my party shared the steak for 2. If you can find someone to partner up with order the steak for 2.

Being the doting gf, I brought my meat-loving SO here for his bday. It was a frigid night and StripHouse had a line out the door. When asked the occasion, the hostess gave me a strange look and said "it's Wednesday!" Even with reservations, we waited over half an hour for our table but were supplied with libations (drinks pack a punch and if you're willing to pay for it, are plentiful in selection). Our waiter was nice, offering up suggestions all night. On his recommendation (and the many Yelp! reviews), we ordered the truffled spinach (as delicious as they say!), crab cakes (delicious, very crabby in the best way!) and the ripped apart potatoes (fried, delicious), ribeye (rare & delicious) and rare strip. Everything was quite delicious (word of the day?!?) and we much enjoyed our amuse bouche of creamed cauliflower soup. We enjoyed everything and when we were too full for dessert, our waiter decided he'd treat us, serving up a complimentary slice of classic NY cheesecake, complete with lemon tart icing. Wonderful and great hospitality. SO and I loved the dark, intimate atmosphere and our neighbor table shared the sentiment. The lady there had also brought her man to celebrate in style, and our excitement bounced off each other. Even now (many months later) SO remembers his meal at Strip House being one of the best. We'll be back, soon!

Gluttonous, but great. I was at a table of six and the restaurant had a nice, appropriately sized table (not 6 jammed onto a 4) for us. We began with excellent garlic bread, shrimp, scallops and a dish of bacon. The bacon was think and juicy and fantastic. The garlic bread, shrimp and scallops all came with some sort of buttery, cheesy dressing. Not overwhelming, but a great complement. Then came the steaks. Way better than Peter Luger's. Perfectly charred on the outside, just the right amount of red on the inside. Then dessert was a huge cheesecake and an excellent caramelized banana tart. This place is great. Best steakhouse in NYC. Only negatives are that it is gluttonous and a bit expensive, but so is all of NYC. If you want a great, but gluttonous steak dinner, this is your place.

Awesome, authentic New York steak house. Probably my favorite one. The quality of meat is fantastic and the atmosphere is the real-deal. The title of this establishment may suggest other services - not the case.
