I'm the type of chick to order fish at a steakhouse. Yep. At Strip House, the non-steak options are top notch and not neglected. Tonight I had the tuna tartare, creamed corn, and split a strip steak with my bf. Delishhhh The tuna was fresh, spicy and creamy... thanks to the wasabi roe, avocado, and sauce. Every bite was elevated with flavor. The corn had good notes as well... Slightly spicy, texturized with breadcrumbs and pancetta. I was in the mood for creamed corn (random) and was satisfied. The steak is always good here - tender, perfect temp, well rested. Pros - date night, sexy RED ambiance, friendly and non-pushy waitstaff, prompt bussers, fast cocktails Cons - tables are close (heard e v e r y word of the couples next), tables themselves get crowded with large plates/side dishes/glasses Cons are futile compared to the food/service/atmosphere

"Old New York" vibe. Fun, dark decor (look closely at the wallpaper)... Really great steaks.

The steaks are quite good, but be wary of the chef over or undercooking your order. With that said the service is spot on and ready to handle any problems that may arise. The decor is definitely a bit stodgy and reminds you of a time when Frank Sinatra may have frequented for a no frills NY steak. In any case get the double-cut bone-in rib eye rare with a side of creamed spinach, a glass of red wine from the extensive menu and you can't go wrong. That is unless you opt for dessert.

Amazing food, great atmosphere and an extensive wine list. Melt in your mouth NY strip steak. Huge slices of cheesecake for dessert. Loved it!

We went on new years eve and I have honestly never been anywhere that was so on point. Everything from the building, the decorations, the atmosphere, the service and the food were excellent. We were made to feel truly special and that was down to the excellent service. You got the feeling that every person working there was the consummate professional. It was not just a meal but an experience I will never forget and it made our new years eve perfect

Came here with some work colleagues a few weeks ago for an informal dinner. Our steaks were very good, and I appreciated the advice of the staff about the character and flavor of the various cuts of meat. We ordered a few sides as well, which seemed good... but it was hard to tell because we were stuffed so full of meat that we didn't eat much of them. The servers were very responsive and unobtrusive. Ambience was a bit dark and old-school for my taste, though that's probably standard for most restaurants of this type. Definitely worth a visit if you are a steak enthusiast.

Fun atmosphere, good steak, good drinks. Nice for a night out with the gents. Best menuitem by far is the charred broccoli. Pretty amazing.

Being the doting gf, I brought my meat-loving SO here for his bday. It was a frigid night and StripHouse had a line out the door. When asked the occasion, the hostess gave me a strange look and said "it's Wednesday!" Even with reservations, we waited over half an hour for our table but were supplied with libations (drinks pack a punch and if you're willing to pay for it, are plentiful in selection). Our waiter was nice, offering up suggestions all night. On his recommendation (and the many Yelp! reviews), we ordered the truffled spinach (as delicious as they say!), crab cakes (delicious, very crabby in the best way!) and the ripped apart potatoes (fried, delicious), ribeye (rare & delicious) and rare strip. Everything was quite delicious (word of the day?!?) and we much enjoyed our amuse bouche of creamed cauliflower soup. We enjoyed everything and when we were too full for dessert, our waiter decided he'd treat us, serving up a complimentary slice of classic NY cheesecake, complete with lemon tart icing. Wonderful and great hospitality. SO and I loved the dark, intimate atmosphere and our neighbor table shared the sentiment. The lady there had also brought her man to celebrate in style, and our excitement bounced off each other. Even now (many months later) SO remembers his meal at Strip House being one of the best. We'll be back, soon!
