Moonlit Rock. (Sanfra, US)
___

If you haven't missed my post from September 05th, you know that I am currently on EOPR mode (editing other people's raws). If you did miss it, I guess you are hereby informed.
___

Graham (see mention below) has recently made available some great photos for people to practice and learn editing techniques. Make sure you visit his stream and be aware of the hangout he is preparing shortly about more editing stuff.

I have in the past edited some of the images he made available, and we've been discussing (high level) the possibility of collaborations. This time, I offer my view on one of his great shots in San Francisco, which includes the Bay Bridge. The composition is fantastic, with the moon off-frame but casting its shine on the foreground rock.

The image
I decided against correcting the perspective distortion on this one (which I did on the shot I'll share next), because I think in this case it greatly helps the composition. My particular take was on enhancing the "bi-polar" character of the photo. And by that I simply mean the two light areas (poles) that grab our attention: the foreground moonshine and the bridge.

I also gave it a slight copper tone finish; just because ;) LOL

The tech stuff
Canon 6D + EF 16-35mm f/4L IS USM @ 28mm
Exposure: 240s
Aperture: f/18
ISO: 50

My take on an image shot by +Graham Clark. H/t to Graham for making these files available for us to practice our vision. Graham is a fantastic photographer, so make sure you circle/follow him, and visit his stream for fantastic photography, great (and relevant) photo information, and to be aware of his hangout events about photography education.
