During normal digestion, a stomach valve called the Lower Oesophageal Sphincter (LOS) opens to allow food to pass into the stomach and closes to prevent anything flowing back into the oesophagus.

Reflux disease often results from a weak or damaged LOS which relaxes inappropriately and allows stomach contents to reflux into the oesophagus.

We receive all sorts of saliva samples at the Peptest labs! To correctly collect a sample for Peptest analysis simply clear the throat with a cough and spit the resultant saliva into the collection tube provided as demonstrated by Professor Dettmar. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MVpwbvVv0YQ

๐—ฆ๐—ฝ๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐—ถ๐—ณ๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ถ๐˜๐˜† is defined as the proportion of people without disease who have a negative test result, ie when a highly specific test is positive you can be nearly certain that you actually have the disease. https://www.peptest.co.uk/peptest/

Reflux disease often results from a weak or damaged stomach valve called the Lower Oesophageal Sphincter (LOS), which allows stomach contents to reflux into the oesophagus. Let's take a look at the MUSE treatment system. https://www.peptest.co.uk/muse-system-treating-reflux/
