#Agency requires the recording and authentication of intent and accord http://e-trust.blogspot.com/2015/06/agency-requires-recording-and.html
Those nine words represent a need that is very poorly delivered in today's world. I fear that while it is being less well delivered in Cyber Space, Things are going to make it far worse. In the current world our accord is oft...

I wish I could filter mute, I want to hear from Person X & Y when they say something serious, or if interest to me !
The only way is to fully mute the really noisy folks, yet some of the things they say is of interest! I need a muting agent! apart from the obvious Pirillo, you know who you are! Sorry!

Do you have any circles? I move a small set of people into that one and actually get notified for those, and a couple of slightly larger ones that I read as my regular stream. You can actually create a circle of loud people and turn them down so they don't show up in your main stream too. (I have a loud celeb circle for the Scobles, Pirillos and Kawasakis of the world)

You have all the controls you need already, and they are pretty easy.

In this case, Mapping comes in the form of Clues, rather than @swardleys eminent Mapping approach. If you haven't read the ClueTrain then do... But perhaps more importantly read the NewClues: http://cluetrain.com/newclues/ At...

Starting up a new circle, in which I wish to discuss our collective Maker experiences, achievements and lessons learned.

By responding to this more public "share" you can get added to the circle. No response private or public I will take to mean that you do not want me to share with you my trials and tribulations.

My first will look like this.

Well the arduino code is written , the breadboard implementation seems to work, the next phase is to make it capable of living outdoors.
The goal of this arduino nano (£4.95 from Amazon) connected to an ultrasound distance detector and two relays is to :
1) keep my pond topped up
2) stop the filter pump when it detects that the pond is draining because of a blanket weed blockage.

To get to this stage was a matter of a few hours while watching telly. I suspect the next will take longer!

Wish me luck, and please share any advice on how to make the ultrasound detector outdoor proof I have ideas, but I am concerned about insects.

=======
Hope you want to get involved in my maker activities and share your wisdom, but I won't be offended if you do not.

I just re-learned the same lesson all over again, iPads do not give me control over my mistakes! There is no undo when editing text on an iPad in most contexts. Déjà Undo!? Why would I have clicked cancel, seriously! Why? Dear...

Leading Edge Forum clearly needs to be tracking this Leading Edge technology!

The Leading Edge Asynchronous Propeller Technology (LEAPTech) wing has 18 electrically powered propellers attached to it.

If I were an emergent (or accidentally created by Human Beans) AI system I would spend an inordinately long time observing the human race, in fact I'd likely only show my self when I had already eradicated the vermin, and identified the existence of a like thinking race. Perhaps the real hubris is our assumption that AI has not already emerged!
First, I find it exceptional hubris to assume that we will create artificial intelligence before it emerges. However, even if we somehow accept that we're masterful enough to beat random accident to the race then the idea tha...

That's an issue of identification and classification. It's a perfectly reasonable point.

It took me far too long to realise that you were putting your inferior longitudinal muscle against your bucca!  I was starting to think I was taking a totally opposing view to you! That was weird enough, though I am still not sure what your final position is on the subject!!

However as you imply there is often a world of difference between what a politician is reported to have said, and what they actually said, and for that matter, as often as not, a similar difference to what they are actually thinking, let alone what they actually then do!

In the past few months I have attempted to buy some new cables for our iPhones and iPads. We love them, but we love them better if they are charged. Thus we want charging stations dotted around the home, and in the car. I hav...

Well kept beer, good selection of fish including lobster, dover sole well cooked, crab dish poorly prepared with bits of shell present, vegetables old fashioned and over cooked, with poor example of new potatoes. Staff attentive and responsive. The crab eaters decided they did not want to make a fuss! (So British, my bet is the restaurant would have happily changed their first course)

Well designed Jewellery at the top end of the price range, but with quality that shows that it should be even pricier and service to match. We went into to get some of our Simon Pure rings resized and were met with expertise and great advice! Makes you want to buy more!
