It’s time to get Crafting NOW…

The BFWI CRAFT FAYRE is back for 2017 at the Gateway. Gatehouse Road. Aylesbury. HP19 8FF.
The perfect venue to sell those beautifully handmade craft items, the Gateway provides central access across the county with loads and loads of FREE parking too.
Why not start a new craft group? Or even join your existing one to start making all those wonderful things that you could sell and raise funds for your own WI in the process. What will it cost?
WI or member £15.00 per table. Non-member £20.00 per table.
Spread the word far and wide and tell all you know to join us on the 28 October as Christmas is coming early!

4 nights Dinner B&B at the Kingswood & Devoran Hotel Sidmouth
Located right in Sidmouth’s Esplanade, the Kingswood & Devoran Hotel provides en suite accommodation with free WiFi. This contemporary hotel also offers a bar and a restaurant. All the rooms at Kingswood & Devoran Hotel feature a flat-screen TV, a DVD player and tea/coffee making facilities.
Guests at this 3-stars hotel can enjoy meals in the restaurant, which overlooks the sea. The patio and lounges also boast stunning views of the World Heritage coast. There are many shops and cafes within a 10 minutes’ stroll. Popular local attractions include Connaught Gardens, Jacob’s Ladder and Peak Hill Slope, all less than 10 minutes’ walk away.
Day 1 We make our way towards Sidmouth, stopping on route to visit Bowood House (entrance included) - a grade I listed Georgian country house with interiors by Robert Adam and a garden designed by Lancelot "Capability" Brown. The woodland rhododendron garden is a spectacular attraction. This evening enjoy a 3 course dinner at the hotel. Day 2 After breakfast we travel to Buckfastleigh for a return trip to Totnes on the Heritage Steam South Devon Railway (train fare included). There will be time for lunch in Totnes before heading to Kent’s Cavern for a private tour followed by afternoon cream tea (tour and tea included).
Day 3 Day trip to the Eden Project (entrance included) Day 4 After breakfast we travel to NT Coleton Fishacre – an evocative 1920’s Arts and Crafts style house, with its elegant Art Deco interiors. In the afternoon we take a short boat trip ( boat fare included) to Greenway NT - the former home of Agatha Christie.
Day 5 After breakfast we depart Sidmouth and travel to Stourhead NT where there will be time for lunch. After our visit we continue home arriving late evening. The cost for this fabulous break which includes entrance to Bowood House, Buckfastleigh to Totnes train, Kents Cavern tour and cream tea, boat to NT Greenway ( please note: entry to NT properties is not included) is just:

A modern hotel near Winchester city centre
Guests at this 4-stars hotel can enjoy meals in the Morn Hill Brasserie.
Day 1 We make our way towards Winchester stopping on route to visit Sir Harold Hillier Gardens (entrance included) - a grade I listed Georgian country house with interiors by Robert Adam and a garden designed by Lancelot "Capability" Brown. The woodland rhododendron garden is a spectacular attraction. This evening enjoy a 3 course dinner at the hotel. Day 2 After breakfast we travel to Winchester Cathedral for the Flower Festival (entrance included). We then head to Arlesford for a trip on the Watercress Line a Heritage Steam Railway ( return fare included) to Alton where we visit the Jane Austen House Museum (entrance included). We return on the train where we enjoy afternoon cream tea ( tea included) in our period carriage.
Day 3 After breakfast we depart for Portsmouth where we enjoy the day at leisure before heading home. The cost for this fabulous break which includes entrance to both Hilliers Garden and Winchester Cathedral Flower Festival, entrance to the Jane Austen House Museum plus the return train trip on the Watercress Line with afternoon cream tea is just: WI members £340.00 per person sharing a twin or double room Non WI members £365 per person sharing a twin or double room £68 Single room supplement

Come and see: one of the largest medicinal plant displays in the World, Grade II listed Pond Rockery - the oldest planted structure of its type in Europe and one of the first heated Glasshouses in the World. The Garden has had a wide impact globally introducing the rubber industry to  Malaysia, cotton to the Southern US and tea to India.  Continuing to this day is the global seed exchange scheme initiated in the 1700s. ​At our Annual meeting at the Waterside Theatre on 4th May we will again be holding a fundraising Bumper Spring Raffle.
