Sounds bad.
'Frontiers in Public Health, an actual, peer-reviewed journal, has published a paper that is straight-out, unvarnished, HIV denial. Full stop. This journal is part of the “Frontiers in” series, that many readers will probably be familiar with.

'So how in the world did this paper make it into a peer-reviewed journal with the stamp of approval of the Frontiers line and backing of Nature Publishing Group?'

Slightly ironic to state so prominently that "quality papers do not have to be paid for" – paid by the readers, sure :) #openaccess   #oa

Any upvotes are more than welcome... and do read the blog post itself! :)
Ha! My blog post made it into #reddit  and is already generating three times as many hits as the press releases. If you are a reddit user, would be cool if you could upvote the post.

Our latest article with +Jani Kotakoski is now out in Physical Review Letters, as #CCBY   #openaccess :

Do please also see this blog post where I try to explain the research for as general an audience as possible. It also includes a video abstract where I describe the study, which I think turned out okay – although I wish they had told me to wipe my forehead occasionally when shooting it :p

The post also contains a description of getting the research published in a prestigious journal, and a side note mea culpa directed at the open access community for the use of #hybridOA .
