Anyone know how to use all cores and RAM with R?
I have a machine with 8 cores and 16GB of RAM, but R only uses 10% of cores and 23% of RAM. This consumes to much time for spatial kriging calculations.

My team is looking to hire a R/Shiny developer (consultant basis, 2-to-3 months, else a young scientist, authorized to work in the U.S.) to create web front-ends for some of our economic and geo-spatial models, see http://harvestchoice.org/. Some GIS knowledge preferred. Need a good grasp of the following packages: data.table, sp, rgdal, rgeos, raster, shiny, leaflet, tmap, htmlwidgets. We are based in DC. Please get in touch with me.
