When I went I had a great time. Partially because one of my favorite bands was playing, The Venetia Fair. But also because the staff were awesome, the crowd was great, the space was clean, and the bartender had a heavy hand. Basically, Santos is an awesome place to enjoy yourself if you like loud music, and an even louder crowd. Also note that even though they have a coat check, they don't bother staffing it in the summers. So, don't bring a bag if you don't plan to hold on to it the whole time.

I've seen a couple events here and while I like how small it is, it is always disorganized and you always wait on line to get in past when the doors are supposed to be open. This is a better venue to see bands when people aren't concerned about being in the very front of the stage too.

Came here recently for a hip hop night and had a great time. The event was in the basement (I believe there's a 1st floor venue that is different from what is in the basement, but I did not visit that part of the place) and it was a very roomy space. It's a bit sparse, as it's essentially a big room without furniture, but it gets the job done. Fair word of advice though, you're probably going to lose phone service in the basement, so keep that in mind if trying to meet up with friends.

i saw the orwells here with a group of my friends. it was one of the few teenage-friendly shows, most are 21 and up. but considering the band was only 17 themselves, they made an exception. the venue was small but i loved that the most,m it was an intimate setting. no fighting to get to the front because the crowd area was so small that everyone had a great view. i got to meet some of the band members and even chat with the singer of the so so glos. if an artist you like is performing here, please go! chances are so high that you will find them mingling amongst the crowd.

Great spot to have a good night with some friends. Music was awesome and the light show was incredible. Drinks can be very pricey though.
