Love a good romance? Me too! And so does Esther with Phantom Screens. She bought a home in Mobile, AL to restore and it's quite the Southern Romance. Myself and some other bloggers got to see the house 2 weeks ago. Come along for this inspiring story and you'll be hooked too! http://southernhospitalityblog.com/southern-romance-in-mob…/ ‪#‎southernromance‬

In the kitchen with Blue Apron this month, I had my parents over for lunch of braised chicken thighs and polenta. They enjoyed it as did my roommate and I. Mom was happy to get out of the kitchen! ‪#‎blueapron‬

Updating with paint! I've been doing this for years and you see it all over blogland, but really paint is the easiest thing you can do to update and refresh a tired piece of furniture. This bookcase was found at a yardsale for $50 years ago and this is the 2nd paint refresh I've done to it. Paint works wonders! I am working with Maison Blanche Paint Company on this one and it's great paint to use! #maisonblanche #paint #hometalktuesday

Super excited to show y'all the new and improved living room! New chair from Birch Lane makes a huge difference, as well as moving furniture around, painting a piece and adding some pops of color in pillows. I'm thrilled with the changes! http://southernhospitalityblog.com/new-and-improved-living…/

What are your favorite window coverings these days? It's changed so much in the last 20 years, so today I'm sharing some different ideas on blinds and shades. I opted for bamboo shades all throughout my house and have worked with Payless Decor on all of my windows. What is your favorite window covering now? I'd love to know what's on everyone's windows!

I can't make up my mind! I love the newer style shades like you have, but I also still really love plantation shutters. I currently have blinds on most of my windows....that I don't love. :)

It's time for an update on dad's garden this year! Stop over and see what all he's planted. I'll do more updates along the way and when the harvest starts coming in. http://southernhospitalityblog.com/dads-garden-update-2015/

Fashion over 50 Wednesday & today's topic is white jeans. Are you wearing white yet? It's OK you know! It's warmed up enough in the South that white jeans look crisp. Wear them with a long sleeved top for now. Also, my comments on the Lilly/Target sale fiasco. I stopped by there on Sunday afternoon and of course, it was all long gone! What a bummer! http://southernhospitalityblog.com/fashion-over-50-white-j…/

I've been going to Dr. Dale for 10 months and had pretty severe hip pain (stemming from my back). Dr. Dale has been adjusting my back and hip, along with getting me on some natural supplements that have helped my pain tremendously. The pain is almost gone now and I'm feeling so much better since I started with him. I continue to go once a month for maintenance. He's very approachable and knowledgeable about how the body works.
