My wife and I have stayed at the Blue Mountain Mist Country Inn and Cottages several times over the past 10 years. This family owned Bed & Breakfast is wonderful. The owners are great people and make you feel extremely welcome. Breakfast is out of this world. Our favorite is the stuffed french toast with strawberry cream filling, bacon, and eggs. Of course they start you off with fresh fruit with their own fruit topping. We have stayed in both the main house and the cottages...both are well maintained, clean, and comfortable. I highly recommend staying at the Blue Mountain Mist, you won't be disappointed!

"How it All Started" The story of how Blue Mountain Mist came to be.
I had taught school 15 years. Though at times it had been very enjoyable, I could not see myself teaching another 15 until retirement. I guess you could say I was a little burnt out. The fall of 1985 found me dreading the 1st day back after summer break. When all of a sudden an idea popped into ...

The stay at Blue Mountain Mist was great. It was very convenient to all Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg attractions, but also very quiet and peaceful - away from all of the crowds and noise. Also, you get the lovely mountain view without driving up some major mountain roads - which I appreciated. They are very accommodating to any needs and there is always friendly conversation to find with people there. The rooms were very private and clean. The property/surrounding area was very peaceful and relaxing. The breakfast was delicious for the days I was there and very filling. Also, at night they had "Temptation Station" with great deserts (and even had ice cream in the fridge if you wanted something extra). My short stay was being treated like a 5-star guest at home - it was worth every penny! I will definitely be back and recommend it to all of my friends!

This has been a great little getaway for my wife and I. It is the first time we have stayed at a B&B and it has been a pleasure. The rooms are very nice, set off a small foresty drive. We chose to have our breakfast delivered to our room each morning (at no extra cost) and it always arrived hot and was very good! The service was excellent! All the staff we encountered were very nice and helpful. The main building offers coffee and refreshments for you to help yourself to 24/7. It even has a small theatre room down stairs with tons of movies to watch and even bring back to your room if you like. The only small complaint I would have, and it is small being that I know we are in the smokey mountains, is there seemed to be a decent amount of little flying bugs that would get into our room mostly at night. Nothing harmful, just a but annoying. But nothing to keep us from coming back! Overall it has been a great stay and we have really enjoyed it here!

Let me say thank you to the owner's and staff for always giving such great care to serve my wife and I. The true christian heritage and ministering desire of the founders to have a christian based bed and breakfast and now carried on by their family always makes our stay the most pleasant, peaceful and restful than any place we stay on our travels. Our desire is to visit as much as possible. The quality of the meals would be very hard to top. So much like going to grandma's house including the fresh bake pie's and cakes for your bed time snacks. Sincerely Pastor Ed and Deb Gallimore Floyd Va

I wanted a memorable way to end our week-long trip to Hilton Head, and this was a halfway point between there and Michigan, where we are from. We stayed one night, and that was the only unfortunate part of this review. Everything else was simply majestic. Kolette was amazing to communicate with and help set up. I told her what we needed, and she worked hard to get us accommodated, especially at last minute. When we checked in, Eric was super friendly and gave us the tour of the house and area, and was just a real pleasure to deal with. We immediately felt at home. And we immediately regretted not staying another night. And that was before we ventured around the grounds and surrounding area (Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg/Sevierville). The house is big. It has numerous common areas that are well-decorated in rustic and antiques. It gave the impression it was much older than it really was. The porch was huge, with lots of furniture to sit and relax. We also had a balcony for our room to overlook the mountains. The rooms were quaint. Our rooms were updated where necessary, while still feeling like it was an old house. The beds were very comfortable. The grounds were amazing. There was a pond, a stable with a gorgeous horse, numerous secluded areas to find, and a gazebo. We found something new every time we walked around. There was a small dog running around, Bella, who was just a sweetheart. Something about seeing a dog lead our daughter around the grounds and making she she didn't venture too far off was comforting and adorable. My daughter is still talking about her. The breakfast. I don't know where to start. Well, yes I do. The Hash. It was the absolute best hash I ever had. I think it was potato and cheese and some other stuff. I don't know. It was amazing. And they served sausage links that were almost the size of Brats. It wasn't storebought. It was made on site or locally. Never had sausage like that. Amazing. Eggs were perfect. Fruit dip served with breakfast was so good once we were out of fruit, we were eating it by the spoonful. I know the breakfasts will vary every morning, but I hope whoever stays here lucks out with that Hash being served. There were two young girls serving breakfast, along with the owner. All three were very friendly, and the girls were very polite and talkative to my daughter. They had a snacks area for late snacks, all homemade. They had ice cream, soda, filtered water. Very accommodating. We are not a very religious family, but we still felt very much at home. However, If you happen to be more religious, you will feel very at home here as well. It struck a great balance between Christian hospitality, and making everyone feel welcome. We certainly felt welcome. Nothing was forced. It was all natural and welcoming. I could go on and on and on. But I won't. All I can say is we are already planning a return trip in the summer or fall. We want to see more of the surrounding areas. And we want to spend more time on this wonderful property with such welcoming people.

Wonderful place to get away in the Great Smoky Mountains. Beautiful views and very caring, friendly staff. The food is excellent and the comfort and cleanliness is great both in the cabins and in the big country house on the hill. We've been multiple times and look forward to returning.
