Grab your picnic baskets and join the Lucero Family for a day at the Mill.
We proudly announce our Fourth Annual Spring Bloom Event on Saturday, May 10th. Come out and celebrate the olive bloom with a picnic and a tour of the groves guided by Dewey and Bobby Lucero. Visit with friends and family and learn more about the olive bloom. If you’ve never seen an olive tree in bloom, here is your chance. This year’s event will see the return of the wine garden with over 10 local wineries from around Northern California.
The event starts at 11am at the Lucero mill and tasting room, and will wrap up at 5pm. In addition to tours of a heritage olive grove, there will be wine tasting, live music, a kid zone and the Lucero family picnic. Local artisan food vendors will be there offering their delicious wares to add to your picnic baskets, or rediscover once at home.
Dewey and his father Bobby Lucero will be guiding four century heritage grove tours (11:30am, 12:30pm, 1:30pm, and 2:30pm) answering questions about the olive culture in Tehama County. Additionally, two super high density tours will be given (12 noon and 1:30pm) explaining how super high density groves are planted and beneficial to the olive oil industry. Space is limited. To reserve your spot on the tours please call the Corning Tasting Room at (530) 824-2190. Century old olive grove tours are priced at $2 per person. Super high density tours are priced at $4 per person.

The Lucero's are third generation California olive growers from a rural community that has a history of producing the country's most delicious olives. Corning's century-old trees are some of the oldest in the state, and many thrive in our family groves.

How you store your olive oil matters! We bottle our EVOOs in a special dark glass that helps protect it from light damage.

We were so excited to have Lisa from the California Olive Oil Council (COOC) stop by the Corning tasting room today! She put together a custom gift box for a family member, any guesses what she put inside? #cooc #extravirgin
