What an awesome community to be apart of.

What happens in a single day at Portland State? A lot, it turns out. On May 6, people all over campus picked up a camera (or a phone) and gave us a glimpse into the everyday moments that make PSU special. Together, we are fearless. Video: http://bit.ly/Sp6vx0

Congrats to Fearless Writer, Nicole Hannah!
Last week, Nicole’s essay, “A Study in Sound: Japanese American Internment and the Invasion of Constitutional Rights,” won the John Redmond Freshman Writing Award last week. During the ceremony, PSU legend, Tony Wolk praised Nicole’s writing, emphasizing her ability to convey in precise prose the trauma experienced by the interned Japanese. Pictured here with her professor David Wolf and mentor Jenny Woodman from the Race and Social Justice FRINQ, Nicole is excited to be recognized for her work, even it means “being taken a little bit out of her comfort zone.” #FearlessPSU
