Chrome DevTools: A Sneak Peek At CSS Media Type Emulation

As many of you know, CSS media types allow us to apply different styles to a page depending on the medium it is being used through (e.g print, screen, tv, braille and so on).

A new change that landed to the DevTools (under the Overrides panel) in Chrome Canary allows us to now easily emulate CSS media types so you can switch between different media types live via a drop-down box.

This is still a work in progress, but works for many media types already. Below is a preview of it being used to debug Smashing Magazine with the 'print' media type :)

Reminder: Chrome DevTools can list the event handlers registered on any element. Inspect element > expand the 'Event Listeners' panel (to the right of your DOM tree). BOOM. All there.
