the Stacey Abrams campaign for Governor of Georgia demonstrates how a progressive and democratic campaign includes envisioning robust public arts. Her campaign vows to sustain the film industry in Georgia as a critical driver of economic growth and increase access to arts and entertainment for all Georgians and visitors alike. public arts commission is incredibly happy to endorse the Stacey Abrams campaign for Governor of Georgia in the 2018 mid-term election.

Stacey Abrams is herself an award-winning author. We hope to see more campaigns like hers that recognize the critical role public art plays in strengthening democracy. Please join public arts commission in supporting the Stacey Abrams campaign for Governor of Georgia. The race for Governor of Georgia is very close, but with your help, we can help elect Abrams in the face of massive voter suppression efforts by her opponent, Brian Kemp.

the 2018 mid-term elections are two weeks from today on Tuesday, 6 November 2018. At stake in these elections is the future of the planet, democracy and the advancement of a greater public art. We have the chance to elect political campaigns that will help ensure an art for everyone, an inhabitable, healthy planet for generations to come and that democracy supersedes oligarchy. Between now and 6 November, we will work to get out the vote, but we need your help.

We need you to make plans to vote either by Early Voting, Absentee Ballot or at your polling place the day of the 2018 mid-term elections. By getting out the vote, we can win elections despite the Republican efforts to suppress votes in several states. Georgia unconstitutionally purged an estimated 340,000 voters from its registry. The Secretary of State and gubernatorial candidate Brian Kemp targeted mostly poor, Latina, Latino, African-American and Asian voters in the purges. History shows that showing up at the polls wins elections.

We need you to get the word out about the stakes in this election. public arts commission has been vetting campaigns across the United States to highlight ones we believe will help advance our agenda. Many people are asking people they know which campaigns to elect on the ballot this mid-term. Our endorsement page functions as a handy voter guide for a number of critical races: http://publicartscommission.org/endorsements.html. Let people know which campaigns we support.

We need you to reach out to voters in these next two weeks and get them to the polls. Many of the campaigns endorsed by public arts commission have volunteer operations to reach prospective voters and get them to the polls. We recommend volunteering with the campaigns endorsed by public arts commission to help get prospective voters to the polls.

We also recommend keeping an eye out for ballot proposal positions endorsed by public arts commission. While not everyone can do all the above, now is the time to do what you can to get out the vote.

many states end their voter registration for the 2018 mid-term elections this October. View a listing of when voter registration ends for each state and information about how to register before registration ends at https://www.theroot.com/make-this-go-viral-the-voter-registration-deadline-for-1829462310

While our work will continue long after this election, we cannot emphasize enough the dire importance of this election and the need to vote and vote for pro-public art political campaigns and ballot initiatives. The future of the planet, democracy and a greater public art depends on voting this mid-term election.
